I liked Eva up until halfway thru the series, where it got insane weird and i didn't know what the hell was going on anymore. Then again, movies like Dune and Blade runner confuse the hell out of me too, so maybe in depth sci-fi isn't for me lol.

Tho all the women in that series were hot love

It's been about a month since anyone posted here. I'll just assume it's because everyone is busy watching new anime and getting ready to talk about it.

Manga rules over anime with an iron fist lol
The manga version of anything is almost always better then the anime. Bleach is the perfect example! If you haven't read it... Then you are missing out.
This website onemanga.com has a ton of translated manga. They update pretty frequently and there are a lot of series that they haven't brought out in graphic novels here.
Don't get me wrong I still love a nice, long anime series once in a while but I almost always have a manga in my purse at all times lol

I have to agree, Manga is way better than the Animes. There are less fillers lol.

I frequent onemanga.com a lot so I can be up to date with the Naruto series.

Animes I love watching are Yakitate! Japan, Naruto, One Piece, Hajime no Ippo and Bleach.

I like the Sailor Moon fillers, it was a monster of the week kind of deal and the monsters were so off the wall that it made the show pretty damn funny and entertaining laugh

waving I was going to make a thread about this, but obviously somebody was way ahead of me. Go Becca!

I watched Robotech when it was on the Sci-Fi channel when I was in high school and Sailor Moon when it was on Cartoon network in College, but Ah! My Goddess (the ova) was what really pulled me into anime and never let me go. I've seen the first two seasons of the new series (borrowed from a friend), and have a few of the manga, but need to work on actually purchasing them. There's only so much money.

I also love Martian Successor Nadesico. It's silly, slapstick, serious, and dramatic all by turns, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I think the movie they did is a shame. They had enough plot to do 6-12 episodes, but had to squish it all into a 2 hour movie. slaphead

For serious movies, the one I kept was Armitage III. I'm a sucker for dark futures, it's on Mars, and there's an android chick that kicks butt! It has it all.

I hope everyone can agree that Akira was the best anime movie of all time??

I think my other fav Anime movie would Be Spirited away.

I don't know about Akira being the best anime movie. It was alright. I didn't really care for the end though. And I have to check out Spirited Away. I've heard a lot of good things about it.

Anything by Miyazaki is usually worth the once over. I liked Spirited Away, and Kiki's Delivery Service, at the very least. Can't think of any others right now.

Netflix can be your friend for anime.

I think it would be pretty awesome if some JSHers picked a con to go and meet at.

There's one in Wichita mid-August.

http://afwcon.org/

It's not that big, but it seems to grow every year. I'd go but never seem to find someone that I want to share it with.

Has anyone been watching Blood + or Trinity Blood? Because I usually have it on while I'm doing stuff at the computer and haven't really paid attention to it. Are they any good?

I'm conflicted by Trinity Blood. It was very well done, but I'm not sure I liked it. Glad I borrowed it instead of bought it.

It was so sailor moon that got me hooked on Anime. OH thoes were the good days of anime. Now I adore Ouran High school Host Club and of course Tsubasa, Clamp is wonderful.

I loved Magic Knights Rayearth. It was great how everything was right out there from the beginning, but you had to understand what you were hearing was not what she was saying.

I love all Anime! I'm not a fan of subtitles. The American voice actors do great for the shows imo. I love Luci Christian!!

For me I've found I usually enjoy sub or dub, depending on which way I heard it first. Ranma 1/2 was dubbed, and Kuno and Ryoga sound stupid in the original Japanese.

On the other hand, I watched Saber Marionette J subtitled, and found I never liked the English voices. (Limuuuuu!)

is it hard 4 u guys to meet the opposite sex thats into the stuff ur into like anime 4 example? 4 me man it is, especially on here. well I come across people who r into it but they live 2 far, and when they live close I try to mail them and theres a setting that won't let me mail them =[ kinda sux

oh well I guess, but yea, anime is sweet! I seen some clips of this naruto game comin out 4 one of the next gen consoles, ps3 maybe I 4got which one but damn! it loox like ur controlling the actual anime and ****.

I always thought video games shoulda moved in this directions with some titles.

Especially street fighter man! they used low res sprites 4 way 2 long! talk about being lazy [instead they went 3d for awhile]. well..the new SF loox pretty sweet tho, can't wait to play it and fight online.

I have actually never seen Ah! My Goddess the series, but I loved the movie!

You should check out AMG! get the ova first, then the movie. Now there's a whole new series to watch that's finished it's second season.
