I can't see why we are aiding the Adversary in his conquest to isolate us more and more of the One and Only Wise God.
It is so strange that among the over 200 languages spoken and written that we are able to communicate among ourselves and these languages are not so much a barrier. Many scientific discoveries, inventions were made in German, French, Italian, English, to cite examples, and it they have disseminated the world regardless of national languages. And they are all understood. To insinuate that no English Bible can be deem reliable or faithful translation from the original is absurd! Should we all learn Greek, Hebrew, etc to verify the authenticity of the English Bible? There's no 1:1 translation, transliteration, interpretation and even reproduction. That's why original must be unique! However, there was an era that to possess the written Bible or parts of it, regardless of language, was deemed illegal by the powers that were, secular and church! 'Authorized' version is simply the work that was authorized by that secular power. It had nothing to do with its content. Bibles in general still offends those in power and authority. Rome, as once the only universal kingdom, has made that clear. Read about Gen. Berthier Bonaparte(¿) and the hostage of pope Pius. Investigate the reasons behind those events and the agreement made. Also, investigate the confusion that existed in those councils in, before and after the year AD321. I see 'modern English bibles that in one verse say "gods" and in the following, "God" with reference to the same being by the same speaker! I see bibles with verses quoting another book.verse with incorrect references! These bibles are lying or embedding with 'errors with the aim to confuse and to eradicate confidence in the Bible. That is, among all the translations, transliterations and commentaries, to present the Bible as a work of confusion, subjective, inaccurate, lies ir half-truths! It does not take a scholor nor does it depends on language of translation, to see this! One says my Bible says this, other my Bible says that, or our Bible does not put it like this or that. With so many 'my Bible due to the commerce of translating printing bibles, due to religious dogmas by altering texts to be inline with preconceived beliefs |

Lots of information. Are you making a point or is this a dazzle of stored knowleage? If you are a Christian, as you say, I'm not sure who you are endorsing. You make assaults on bibles versions. Intresting but that is all.

I like that about the Non Inspired Version!
There's this New World Translation. It won't be long for the Authorized New World Order Bible or Version! But I'll stick with King Jesus Version - KJV! Elsewhere there's a comment about worshiping the KJV! I guess he rightly meant worshipping the God and Saviour presented in KJV Bible. Note: This ludicrous work of 'art' is not only happening in English translations of the Bible but also the Spanish! The most authenticated Spanish Bible was prohibited to be publish by the then king of Spain! As a matter of fact the principal translater never even lived to his work printed! So King James of Enland allowed and the king of Spain prohibited a work that is para |

So King James of England allowed and the king of Spain prohibited a work that is parallel! Wow! How wonderful the mystery of God works. God works in a very marvelous way which proves that it is not a work of man but of the Devine Author. The works of men are the patches via different texts from Vatican and other 'new' discovered or 'upgraded texts! The Bible is not like software that needs to be upgraded or patched. The Bible comes with all features enabled, it's for all hardware, humanity and is the universal OS for all hearts throughout all ages! Strange as it may sound, the Bible came with a warning/prophecy of the attempted mutulation of itself by others in the last book towards the end! |

With all due respect. I hope that you aren't part of the crowd who expect to be told what you 'must do.
How nice is it to make one's decision after a personal analysis of what's presented. Majority support does not indicate the best, what's true nor wholesome. The world of politics is a good example of that the majority nor popular are not usually the ones who make the best decisions.. It's not a question of endorsing. Personal experience, research into both Spanish and English bibles have brought me to the conclusion which Bible Version should be relied upon and avoid the 'doctered ones. I first realized this 'versions war when I read the Bible in Spanish and saw a phrase 'hijo de los dioses' (Daniel- when the 3 youngmen were thrown into the furnace-comment about the resemblance of the fourth one) That phrase means: son of the gods. In English, in the KJV it says ' Son of God! These phrases insinuate different thoughts. 1. About the Divinity of the fourth. Is he son or Son? Is he of the gods or of God? 2. That the king did not know of the God which these youngmen and Daniel served. When, they have testified of Him to the king before, including he had been the beneficiary of His wonders! And also, the following verse shows that the king knew of the One and Only True God by his own declarations. There's another part that cites the 'prophetS Isaiah' but the reference exist in the prophet Micah and not Isaiah! In others, like most Spanish bibles, they present that 'to be angry' is a sin! But in KJV it says ' be angry but sin not'! No big deal say many. But Jesus was angry once. Did He sin? For if He did, we could just forget about the bible,God and the whole topic. Or is it an ' error ' to prove that Jesus isn't whom he said He is? And also, to make God a liar about His only Begotten Son who came from Him. Doctrinal point. Can a sinner be a savior? I hope you see the point. I have been taught professionally to 'leave no stones unturned'. Jesus admonished us to *search* the Scripture, to *compare* passages. Only by doing that many mistakes 'embedded in some bibles would be revealed. Some bibles eliminate the part about bowing down and worshiping of idols from the decalogue. They divide another commandment into two so that it might be read as still 10 commandments! CLEVER! SUBTLE! DECEPTIVE! Right? That's exactly how the enemy is! |

I agree.
When in Church and other versions are used, you can see worshippers mouthing the KJV to themselves. It is engraved in our minds, like the Book of Common Prayer. Also it is great literature. We don't attempt to re-write Shakespeare or Milton so why the KJV? Fanara |

Does not the king James oppose the divine right of kings also?

Does not the king James oppose the divine right of kings also? Nope, kingdom of God, King of Kings. By the way it was commissioned by the King of England in 1610. His name was James. He wanted a bible for the common people. |

I do not adhere to the KJV because of the numerous errors. I study out of the Aramaic to English translation by Lamsa. We westerners must remember that Jesus was Jewish not catholic not a westerner. I would suggest you study the Hebrew culture and traditions and history to understand more fully where and how Christianity came to be. We lose a lot of rich meaning when we don't understand the idioms of the Aramaic language (which is what Jesus spoke) and is still preserved and spoken today. Do your homework. There is a very good read on the catholic church and its history called The Vicars of Christ by Peter De Rosa that is will give you an idea about papacy and its manipulation of ancient texts.
