Hi I am new to this online dating scene and I am concerned about spam profiles. How in the world do you know? I have been chatting with someone and I sure hope it is sincere. Thanks for any advice

You can always do a web search for any profile image or any profile statement.

after a while they get really easy to spot
main thing is never EVER send money
do research on the net as to spotting them
as well as like David said with his fake human pic (they keep taking down his real pic)you can search by picture as well as phone numbers but that only helps if someone else has reported them
i wont put to much info out here cause then i would be teaching them how to know what not to do

There are a lot of them. The problem I am having is I dont know were to chat with a real girl.

So already have an update. The profile picture was used in several other countries. I reported him and they have already deactivated his account. Wow live and learn. I am not too sure I will continue this online stuff.

All members should have received an automatic e-mail concerning this issue and how to deal with it.

We are really sorry that you are running into this issue. The Site has a Report/Abuse System in place that all members are required to use to report such issue.

If you do not know how to report you can use the e-mail they sent you look to the bottom right click on Report/Abuse/Spam and follow the directions. These reports go straight to Admin. Mods do not handle Scammers only Admin does.

Another way you can report them is on their profile to the right you will see Report This User click on that and follow the instructions.

We rely on members to help us by reporting them. Many do slip by us and we need members to help by reporting.

We ask that the Forums not to be used for this problem due to we have a Report System which is noted in the Forum Rules.

With that said this thread is being locked. We ask that all Members use the Forums strictly for getting to know those that post within the forums.
