If he's not right for you, don't waste your time. If he's counting the dates it takes to get you in bed, he's not worth it. You deserve someone that's right for you, and will respect you.

I've turned down a few that just didn't feel right and I should have turned down the last one 4 years ago, but did I listen to self? Nooooooooooooooooo

Then just tell him and avoid the calls, he will soon get it

i definitely agree with totage. it sounds like the guy isn't looking for a relationship or anything, he just wants to get in your pants....

I think that will depend mostly on age, for me...Dating is about being with someone you like and having a good time. It's not about getting them in bed. If thats all someone wants, then there is no point. I know i wouldn't want to be treated that way. This in itself proves one thing. Selfishness. If the person likes you for you...and not what they can get from you...then you may have a good match. jmo. |

I've sat home on Saturday for I don't know how many years now without a date. I am not making this up.

i feel ya on this one.. sometimes.. I would rather just chill out with myself than end up fighting my way out of the grip of a sad date.

Ahhh, Joyce, better to be here with us then out with someone that you do not enjoy being around.
If he is counting the dates and not letting things happen in their own time, he is not worth your time. There is the right one out there looking for you...he has just not found you yet. Hugs, M |

Not too long ago, I was contacted by someone who actually lives only about 30 miles away from me, and she wrote: "Why don't you consider me dating material?"
And I explained that my basic dating parameters are all in my profile, someplace, and that she, right off the bat, fell squarely into my "No" category in 2 different areas. And she said, "Well, that isn't fair." As if there is some requirement that my standards should be built to accommodate a complete and total stranger. She just wouldn't let go of the subject either, and insisted on giving me page after page about why it would work. Only it wouldn't, because it wouldn't. People think it's OK for them to demand that you change your standards, or make special exceptions just for them, just because that's what THEY want you to do. But where's my incentive to get involved with someone who a.) has so little respect for my beliefs and values that she thinks it's OK to tell me I should change them, even though she really knows next to nothing about me, and b.) is arrogant enough to believe that there is anything "different" enough about her that I would actually CONSIDER making an exception? Don't tell me "what's best" for me until you've known me 10 or 15 years! So, I understand all about turning down the wrong person and preferring to be alone....and it sucks that those are the only two options available for some of us, but tomorrow is another day.... |

I prefer to be alone most times in anyway lol, but thats just me.
My parents often used to remind me of when they experimented with punishment when I was a kid; "GO TO YOUR ROOOMS!" So my older brother would go to his and I to mine. 2 minutes my brothers like "can I come ouuut yeet?" 1 hour later my moms like "wheres mark?" in my room playing with toys "vvvvrrrrrroom! *crash*" lol as far as the dude thats pretty much humping your leg; cut him loose. |
