Nothing against love, mind you. Quite the contrary.

I've found myself that it isn't esoteric or romantic things like "love" which we need to care for, it's each other.

Love will be what it is, and care for itself, or not. And actually, again in my own experience, if "love" becomes a responsibility which needs to be maintained in a dutiful fashion, then it isn't really love at all, any more.

By the time anyone mentioned to me, or to someone I knew, that their love required more "work" or attention, it was because they'd already lost it entirely, and were hoping for a few extra "freebies," as they themselves packed to leave.

By all means, appreciate it when it's there. But attend to life itself, not to the IDEA of any of it.

There's no minimum or maximum age requirements when it comes to love. Each and every human being needs and deserves love, whether it's from family, friends or a partner.
