I think the only way you could say that is you have never been really loved or have never really loved someone...JMO

I think, that everyone who says this, hasn't experienced actual love. Just themselves or someone else quoting the word.

I loved and adored it.....it was everything and more what i thought it to be....

but I absolutely love being alone even more... my freedom to travel trumps anything, and always will. I can never be with another, ever again, for soooo many reasons.

I think you think love is over rated.
I think you are entitled to your opinion and belief.

Other than that, I think some people overrate "love."
I think other people underrate "love."
I think a lot of people glamorize or idealize or worship "love" as something bigger than themselves. Religify it.
I think a lot of people separate "love" from mating.
I think a lot of people don't understand it as having any other purpose except for personal pleasurable emotional gratification and social relevance.

Well the love that many people practice and talk about is so temporal and conditional that I can certainly see why you think it's over rated, but I still have hope that when love is real and reciprocal, that it's the best thing on earth :)
