my uncle recently had to put his wife in the nursing home due to illness. when he asked his kids what he should do regarding her his kids told him to have the put her to sleep. She was in a coma for 2 weeks and on a feeding tube and ventilator. Now she eats on her own and is breathing by herself. Just think if he would have listened to them she would be in heaven right now. Really make you stop and think you will only leave this world when god is ready for you too nobody else can make that choice.

That is always a hard decision to make, you just have to hope that you make the right one.

It's nice to hear that your Aunt is doing better!

I think that would depend on your perceptions of "LIFE" how or IF you want to continue IN it.. if she was extremely ill prior too AND had signed a DNR order.. then that would be a BLESSED thing, yes.. if NOT.. could that THEN have been considered murder?

i tell those close to me to let me go instead of keeping me on life support. there are advance directives to put inplace to assist your love ones and help them not have to decide. i think that if it is not "my turn to go" .... God can do the same thing 2 weeks prior as he did that day.
plus i- myself prefer not to sit in a nursing home or be a burdon to someone else-- not saying your grandmother is, just making a statement.

i was in a coma for about 8 days and the doctors told my sister they had done all they could and it was going to get worse.
why then am i here, i guess they forgot to consult the one who has all power, that one is god.
here i sit 9 years later and everything is great. makes you think if you knew you were going to die tomorrow what would you do today.
