Well monkdog don't give up hope. The picture you painted presented such a real visual image..
I went to a school in Malvern for sometime as a young child. That's where my favorite tree was that I mentioned in an earlier post. When I went back to England, I went with a friend to try to find it. It was near the end of the day, our search seemed hopeless and we had to be heading back home. Just then I happened to notice a pub sign - a picture of a lamb. (Naturally, the pub was called "The Lamb"). This was located at a fork in the road; the road to the right sloped down quite sharply. I asked my friend to stop the car, so I could get out and look down the hill. Just as I had hoped, I found the school, and the tree where I had sat many afternoons. I would wish you the same joy in finding that 'special place'.. |

For me I feel more connected to God when I am in a position to truly look around me and enjoy the beauty of God's earthly design. This fall I've had the chance to go many wknds into the adirondack mts. of ny. AND WHAT BEAUTY!!!! I had many convers. w/ God telling him how wonderful He was and what a gorgeous sight He was allowing me to enjoy as I drove. Then when I got to my destination it was the hiking up/down the mts. that really brought it home to me.

it's ironic to see that this thread that is so light and friendly has too little responses, but when u see the controversial threads people just don't stop posting.

Anywhere in nature......also in the wild kingdom......to come face to face with a wild animal is God's creation at it's best. I have also noticed that I get alot of God's creatures to nurse back to health and put back in the places where they are intended to be.......good thing.

my place is all over town as I patrol. but the best spot is walking through the cemetary late at night. I find peace out there and it helps me concentrate on Christ more. Strange I know but when patroling theres not alot of places I can go to spend quality time with God so I do it as I work. Just He and I protecting and serving.
