OK, just got back from a 3 day fishing trip on the Oregon coast. 8 good size salmons, (between 24 & 34 lbs.), were split amongst 5 of us. I would like to smoke some of mine but do not own a smoker. Someone told me it can be done in a conventional oven...anybody know how? Need some pointers please!

all i know is smoked salmon is delicious...wait i do know something goto food network t.v.'s website alton brown did a special on smoking food, i bet you can find it there...

Thats a new one for me. I did see an "oven smoker" at the store . Hope you have a good exaust fan!

gravlox won't give you smoked meat, its cold smoked, not cooked..i mean its good, but its not traditional smoked salmon.
