When I got married I wore a lavender dress.

how about gold and pale yellow,i know it sounds awefull but put the colours next to each other and its really beautiful

My mom wore a mauve suit when she got married.....my parents are still married......

I had a beautiful dress...wedding etc......it didnt work out.....

It shouldnt matter what you wear as long as you feel beautiful in it!!!

Weddings today can be as traditional or non-traditional as one wants to be...You can wear white if you choose or any colour for that matter..I happen to like the champagne and ivory colours myself for a second marriage!!!!!!!

if white is suppose to symbolize purity,how many women truly were pure when they were married,and wore white anyways seems to me that it doesnt really matter wear what ever makes you happy..just my advice..if symbolism is true..all guys should be leary of any woman wanting to wear a dark color at her wedding...thanks for the heads up...

I don't think people really go by that so much anymore.....I think if you were married 8 other times before....then off white.....but I think basically you can wear whatever it is you would like to.

Why not white with color............a lot of the gowns I have seen while going with friends to the wedding shops, have colors in by using embrodiery(spelling) black, red, purple, blue..........check some of those gowns out, they are goregous and you carry the color theme in your gown then

Wear whatever makes you happiest, there are no rules anymore. I wore Ivory, but not formal wedding dress my second time. The color of the dress is not as nearly important as the person you are marrying. I believe it doesn't matter where, how or what you wear so long as you are with the one you love. Tshirt and shower shoes if that's what makes both of you happy.

Fine....It is your day and you can wear whatever color suits you best. If we were to continue following traditions, just how many white wedding dresses would actually be sold?? I know the colors I am looking at are more champagne or ivory, but Captain wants white.

Some of the colored wedding gowns out there are really scary (bubble gum pink or sky blue). In my opinion they look like a freaky version of a prom gown!!

A classy lady as yourself should have a classy gown....and you will look beautiful in any color!!

Hum, my step sister her dress was white but had little purple roses all over it it was Beautiful

so yeah it can be white as the back ground



My self hell if ya want a white one wear it pffffffff with traditions when was we normal any more lol I say buck the system and do what you want too

The dress Captain really likes is white with pink roses on it. It is also one of my favorites.
