Jw.. It seems like most of the relationships on here stem long distance which is a total no no

why is it a total no-no?

no a total yup yup

because i'm young and can't deal with a long distance relationship not to mention already had one and it totally didn't work out what so ever. I can't travel nor can I move like some of you.

Oh, just wondering. No, long distance relationships aren't for everyone but they can work out, if both people are willing to put the extra effort in. But, it's for each person to decide for themselves what's right for them and what they would be willing to do with and for someone they love.

If you don't want to hear from anyone a distance from you change your search parameters to 5-10 miles and then check out mutual match.....otherwise broaden your horizons and take the leap to meet new people.

well if they lived in the same site like 30 mins thats fine but im talking like 500 miles in diff states. i've already emailed everyone around me no one emails back! its so stupid that everyone nice is from far away

well my long distance relationship wasnt even that far like 45 mins but it was a total waste of 2 1/2 years of my life. when we met later that day she told me it didnt work in person and dumped me :'(

I understand that... I wouldnt want a reltionship if i couldnt see that person alot and talk to them face to face... I get it.

And while I understand your frustration.... please realise that you are not the only person on this site, nor is yours the only state. This site is INTERNATIONAL as well as Continental USA... when you stop to consider this, you won't be so surprised to be seeing many great people from many other areas.

AND... if you are at a point in your life where someone within a 30 min drive is a max for you... try looking for dating avenues in YOUR area exclusively.. ie: personals in your LOCAL paper, etc...

You're right it's not stupid and i enjoy a few of the people I met here a lot. I'm not desperate enough for a personal I think if it happens it happens. I don't think i'm that bad off that I'll never meet someone to date. I just wanted to see if anyone had actually found a date close to them to see if this site would give me a chance. This site however is a great social experience and most of the people here are polite and knowledgeable.

I met someone close ot me ... in the same town ... we chatted for awhile and then thought we should meet .. so we set this date and whe nI got tehre I found out it was my sister

nope no one close, but did the long distance thing before and it can work if both parties put the effort into it.

Actually I did and even though there was no spark it was a fun day and we both had a blast.

The guilty shall remain nameless to protect their guilt!
