I was born in LA and have visited multiple places around the world but the richness and diversity is the best in California. I love california

I have lived numerous locations across the USA and Canada and I agree that California is nice climate wise but for all the diversity it is the most segregated financially and racially that I have ever lived. And the Good old boy/gang network are alive and well.

I grew up in the Bay Area, San Lorenzo, Castro Valley, San Ramon,
Palm Desert, LaQuinta, ooo and Strawberry :-)

Love it, it is a way of life.

When I was growing up there, there were no minorities so none learned prejudice as you seem to have experienced PacificStar.

Everyone was the same, and you moved around as you
became more affluent.

Lifetime friends are made when you grow up
in a bedroom community :-)

well people are people but if you are cool things become cool. I have stayed in many places around the world and hence experienced various cultures but in California every thing gets mixed up and you some how feel you a part of a community with a single culture. I know everyone feels good about their hometown but I have met many people with the same option who are outsiders.

I agree, there is no place like Cali. I have also lived other places. There is no place like home (Cali)!:)

Depends on the part of Cali,

There are some real craptowns here.

Some of the nicer ones are slowly becoming craptowns.

Great place to visit...place to live? debatable(Been here for 10 years).

I think Cali is one of the most 'stuckup' states anywhere. (but again that depends on what part)

Many people claim Cali is the best state...but have never lived in another state...so really they're full of it.

San Diego is nice
Fresno Sucks
Bay Area nice(But too expensive now $2400/mo for 1bed/apt really?)
Sacramento..(you can get the same climate elsewhere, without the high state taxes)
Bakersfield...sucks
Oakland(Bring a bullet-proof vest)

Washingont/Oregon in my opinion are better places to live,
Florida is nice as well.
So is Virginia.

But Cali being the best...maybe if you're a millionaire and can afford an 3 bed beachhouse(which will set you back about 7 mill)

Agreed, only the wretched poor who are trapped here, and the uber wealthy can live in Califorenia - although a great many bimbos with poop for brains also claim to live here to.
