should public figures consider the effects of their public statements? particularly politicans and aspiring politicians who will have ACTUAL legal authority over the freedoms and lives of others? IF Obama made a statement , lets say, that we need to watch white males closer , would that be called out as 'divisive' ? and would one foresee that such statement may be then USED by white extremist groups to recruit those who were feeling as if they were being targeted? now, I don't believe I used any words that are more complex than high school level.. so hopefully, SOMEONE will grasp 'the issue' and address it,,, |
