anyone can steal your picture

I agree that it sounds odd, but I'm not sure it is anything more than a joke. I mean, downloading the pics (providing it wasn't through MSN) isn't really going to yield anything except.....a picture. And like Nujoyce mentioned, that can be done to any picture. What I have encountered at the old Mingle site is getting an e-mail from someone in another country. Usually it is an African country and if it is a woman, she'll be very nice initially, express great interest in your profile and express her wish to get to know you. If red flags are not flying at this point I think it fair to think you deserve what comes next. This might go on for a few days but eventually it will lead to something like: "I just don't know what I'm going to do....I lost my job and I am trying to find a place to live." The English might be broken and the stories will vary but it will look something like that. Next will come her undying love for you if only you'll........that's right...send money. Now, wait for it...the English will suddenly become very good, especially when typing the Western Union information.

This scam isn't new. I once carried one of these people on for several days, kept promising to send the money.....kept on changing my mind. It was childish but I figured that even if I kept them dancing for a few days, it was a few moments they were not working someone else.

So, if anyone from Nigeria falls madly in love with you but knows nothing at all about you.......you should probably be careful.

scammers are now downloading everyday people pics. the more the better..... the word about them using photos from models is out and you can search different sites for them . so they now take photos from people like us and us them so do not share pics of yourself... it will come back to you if they start checking on this person.

well you had the idea. go to her friends, and find out what she is doing with your pixes. and just what can she do with a pix of you, a handsome strong man sitting on a horse? send it to the national inquirer maybe. then, you will be famous in no time.

There are people who steal your face pictures for other dating sites. Then they add them to the database, put in a stupid profile text, and then that site claims that it has "millions of members!"

I am sorry that this has happened to you. I must admit that I was almost scammed a few times from different datng sites. I realize that...that was not your case, I would just be very careful. It is a terrible cyber world for too trusting people.

Please don't let your guard down so easily next time. My is almost ALWAYS UP!!!!

If it was through yahoo...that has happened to me before. I think its just yahoo. I shared pics with my best friend..I know she didn't download my pics because when I closed the photo sharing program...it said that she was downloading them. So I said Oh I won't close this if you are downloading the pics just let me know when you are done. She said UMMM no I am not downloading the pics you goof!!
I didn't mind if she did download them...I just didn't want to mess up her download. I really think that yahoo still has problems in it, maybe it was just a fluke? Maybe she wasn't even downloading your pictures and then when you asked her, you freaked her out? Were you nice or were you rude about it? Maybe you scared her??
This is just my opinion because it really has happened to me..so good luck
