when I first got divorced after being married 20 years I was like a lamb being led to slaughter and very nieve about this whole internet dating thing.

yep there are plenty of men out there who will ask you for naked pics or send you some even if you do not want them or they will send you a vid of themselves...doing things naked

they will pressure you for your phone number right away
to get you off this site
not necessarily to scam you out of money
but so that they can have all your attention

its almost like a game
who can get a pretty girl to drop off line the quickest
and many of these guys have multiple accounts on different sites
so even though he may be calling you sweetheart
and saying you are the only one? he might be a liar

most of time if he wants to skype and says so it's because he wants to see you naked
if he does not believe you look like you do in your pics
you could easiy hold up a sign of today's date and take a new one
so why the pressure to skype?
or he wants your email
why? if you can message right here
just be warned

if you choose to send a naughty pic of yourself to someone
he probably has a file he keeps of all the women who were dumb enough to do this

just because he calls/texts you all the time
in middle of cooking dinner
while you are busy at work
driving in car
or helping your kid with homework

you think " oh golly this must mean he likes me, he really likes me"
but what it might mean is he is just really bored or needy
and wants you to listen as he tells you every detail of his day
in order to feel validated
do not put your own life on hold just to please a man

if he pressures you to hurry up and meet before you are comfortable or before you have spent very much time getting to know one another on phone
he probably wants to size you up to see if he wants to sleep with you

you get all excited when he says he is gonna call
like a nervous school girl with butterflies in your belly

but when he does call he spends the whole time monopolizing the conversation and spouting off about all his hobbies, his opinions on sports, religion, politics, the price of gasoline, his job, his ex wife or all three of them..and you can barely fit an " uh huh" in once in awhile

he spends NO TIME actually having a conversation with you or asking you anything about your own life or trying to get to know you
and you get off phone ( finally) and walk away shaking your head and wondering why the hell you just sat there listening to that bullsheet for the past two hours

Sad to say but most of the time meeting people on the internet first is like going to a bar.

You might on the very outside chance meet someone there that is sober and just bored enough to kill a little time or tag along with a friend to celebrate something significant but most often it is problem people who for one reason or another don't, won't, can't get a relationship.

Something else is more important. Maybe it is their kids, maybe a sick parent, maybe a disability, sometimes they are just too tired/broke to do the sifting in real life to have a relationship but that is rare.

Someone a talented musician , told me "Honey how do you know when a musician is lying to you? His lips are moving." In the internet it is generally when his keys are moving. If after a pretty short time they are not telling you facts that check out you are being played. The good people know you have to get off the keyboard and show your stuff in the real world. And I am not just talking about another level of media. Skype is only usefully if how someone looks is that important to you. Or possessions. Unless you are going to be satisfied with just a slightly higher level of electronic girl/boyfriend.

Interesting... but I might be a tad old to do this. I show up and the guy might say ... "wtf you are too old!" Boom! and I might find myself in jail for murder. I skeered of jail. So, not interested after all.
