I just read an article that said women initiate 96 percent of the break ups. I don't know how true this is. But, it sure says something about why men are afraid to commit. You gals are heart breakers.

initiate them due to what reason would be a good question to ask.

well most women do initiate the breakup because they think the guy is wrong for them and just do what it takes to get what they want without seeming to cruel

I am guilty. My last relationships I was the breaker. Although they expected me to stay through drug abuse and infidelity. So maybe they were not being realistic? Or they think women should just ride it out no matter what? I don't know. noway noway noway

Yes, heartbreakers.....When I was 17 my girlfriend broke up with me for buying her motor oil for her birthday. Truth is, I forgot it was her birthday and it was really late the day before and so I knew she needed to change her oil, so I thought........."Hmmm, she might like this, being very industrious and enjoying taking care of her own car." I'm here to report that she did NOT enjoy it and as a result I was out a case of oil and a girlfriend.

Now, in case any of you are wondering if I've learned my lesson--fear not--I have. Motor oil is a moronic gift and I should have been forced to dive off of a tall building head-long on to a thumb-tac for thinking it was a good idea. But, I'm and adult now and I know better. Forget the oil, buy them the car.

:)

OK, kidding, but I've got the right idea, eh girls?

There are good reasons for breaking up. Abuse, drug use, etc. But, there are also silly reasons, like not bring flowers often enough. happy

still would be interesting to see the stats on why the breakup was initiated...cheating, etc
i did not initiate my last breakup, however did the majority but when you are being abused, cheated on, etc.

why is it though when a woman cheats she always has some excuse that should be good enough but if a man cheats it should be over with

that is an interesting statistic. When I received my div, five years ago,my att'y told me that in my home county, over 90% of the div were filed for by the female partner. Furthermore, in cases where chldren were involved, over two thirds of the ladies alleged child molestation; that from his own personal records. In the initial filing, every one had asked for a restraining order because they "feared for their lives." I wonder how accurate this would be for the entire country?

I don't understand the cheating thing. People should be honest and just move on rather than cheat.
