My Puzzle of Life

Like a riddle waiting to be solved
Or a puzzle with too many pieces involved
You entered my mind and tickle my thoughts
Like an unfinished picture of connect the dots
As I go about my daily life
Tea and toast, daily news, local peace, world strife
A sudden glimmer of a solution appears
My mind struggles to hang on as it nears
But like gossamer floating on the breeze
The solution of you stays just out of reach
I ponder and think of your mystery
Wondering just where that last piece could be
As the day turns to night and I'm brushing my hait
I look in the mirror and its there
Could it be? I think it's true
The only trick now is convincing you.
