I do believe, and for many reasons. Too many things that have occurred in my life. Everyone is entitled to believe as they see fit, however, Sincereman, I must say that you can not PROVE God does NOT exist either........ JMO

LOL That is what makes me laugh. I get told that religion is for the weak and those who are "confused", yet those same people cry and say "Why goes God allow bad things to happen?!" Well. If you chose to believe in God, you would see that the earth is governed by balance. A power that rises in evil, will meet it's match in good.

You see how supposedly the world is filled with so much evil and no one is friendly, yet you can still hear laughter from around the world. Just because you see something bad for a moment, doesn't mean the power of good cannot rise from it. A man who is convicted a murderer, finds God and He turns him to good, as he has a chance to change each day. A person who is good one day questions his faith and challenges it. Influenced by lies and deception and falls onto bad or wicked ways.

They can go either way. The question of God for some can boil all down to one thing. "Why are we here?" Now if you believed what was in the Bible to be truth, could it actually make sense?

If not, then why are we here? Do you want to actually believe that man's existence was an accident? Can someone name one thing on this earth that was not created for purpose? Even trash was used for purpose, and by this, has a creator. So for me, it is safe to assume that all things are created, and created with purpose by intelligent design.

I ask for you to name one thing that was created without purpose, just by accident of this earth. I would love to see what you can find, as I have asked myself this same thing when I learned of "Intelligence by Design".

I don't believe anything was created with a purpose. "Purpose" implies a reason, a designer, something possessing an intent for the thing being "created." I don't believe any of that exists. The only "purpose" that can exist for anything is that which we -- more or less arbitrarily, based on anthropocentric standards -- ascribe to it.

This world we live in is simply one of an infinite number of possibilities that could have happened. Some experts on parallel universe theory believe that all of those possibilities exist, only in separate universes (Hubble volumes)we can't detect or communicate with. See "Scientific American's Special Report on Parallel Universes," 2004.

This certainly makes more sense to me than the notion of God.

"Evil" and "good" are anthropocentric concepts, and do not exist outside the limited and arbitrary scope of human values. Again, we are limited by our own perceptions and vested interests.

Why are we here? For no other reason that which we decide to apply.

I generally take a schollar(both religous &scientific) view on this topic. In my opinion there is a god, but beyond that he takes a backseat to whatever life throws at us. It is my belief though (having a death experiance, not near death)that everyone has a soul, thoughts after death and that we create our own heaven or hell based on how we lived our lives.

I believe that you don't always have to see something to know its there. You can't see air, but you know its there. You can't see love, but you sure can feel it. Its called having faith. I don't down anyone for their beliefs or lack thereof, but I do say that I kinda feel sorry for those that don't have faith in something. It doesn't have to be a set religion. Some don't classify themselves as any religion at all, yet are more spiritual than any bible thumper could ever dream to be. Then again I believe in Aliens, Ghosts, and Fairies. I am probably ridiculous to you anyway.

No I don't believe in God, nor follow Christianity, or any other organised religious based delusions.

Why? Because I was born with a rational mind...and a realistic veiw of what is, and what isn't fabricated.

Wicca isn't really organized, it can be for some. I don't do the whole coven thing. I'm a solitary Witch. To each his own though. I don't think that believing in something you can't see makes someone irrational. I kinda think someone assuming that those who do believe in something are, is just as bad as me saying your wrong for what you believe, and I would NEVER do that.
