I love winter, I like to roast my nuts on the fire.
I'll rephrase that, I like to roast chestnuts on the fire. |

some good old Southern Comfort on ice warms the cockles of my heart on a cold winters night... maybe in front of a roaring fire..

Winter coats, boots and gloves are to keep warm our bodies .but... ...How do you do to keep warm YOUR HEART? The same way you do the rest of the year ... You love yourself, life, the Universe and everything :) |

Winter coats, boots and gloves are to keep warm our bodies .but... ...How do you do to keep warm YOUR HEART? Generally the nice things I see people do for others, the excitement I see in people anticipating the time or gifts they are going to share with others, the sparkle of even the smallest decorations, and that time when many faithful try to renew their belief in their Higher Power. I see people free themselves from work and the drudgery of life and celebrate, remember loved ones and friends. I see at least a little surge in hope for new love. I see more longing for family reunifications, peace, and enjoying simple things together. Sometimes the longings are the beginning of change. |

Now is the time to look for our loved ones; our family;our friends, our neighbors and more. it's now or never; next year could be too late. The world is changing and the future is uncertain. God bless us forever. |

I see people free themselves from work and the drudgery of life and celebrate, remember loved ones and friends. I see at least a little surge in hope for new love. I see more longing for family reunifications, peace, and enjoying simple things together. Sometimes the longings are the beginning of change. Wise statement; a real truth. Congratulations! Now is the time to look for our loved ones; our family;our friends, our neighbors and more. it's now or never; next year could be too late. The world is changing and the future is uncertain. God bless us forever. Yes I think the reality of the world situation has disquieted many. What makes me so sad is the terrible fear I see in peoples faces. I live in a multi cultural community and people are so afraid. All cultures are sensing the panic about "differences". And the anger about these ridiculous crimes in the news are making people think long and hard. I live near a Mosque and the people I know who are Muslims are so unjustly terrified. Why? Because they are some of the kindest, gentlest, family and community centered people one could know. They work long hard hours and are still respectful, considerate, faithful, and giving. AND I want to stress tolerant of others. I want to be clear that I am no way shy about my faith beliefs but I have never had them insulted or disrupted or dishonored. I might also say I have not had any evidence that any of my Muslim friends have any divided loyalty or would even consider using lies or violence to get what they want. If anything they are excruciatingly patient and self sacrificing in only the most responsible ways. It really upsets me greatly that now it is fashionable for idiots to spout off how a religion I have seen as peaceful, family centered, ordered, structured, and modest is now being blamed for the actions of a crazed few. I hope that those who do have other beliefs will study what is truth and not let another religion be bastardized as so many others have suffered. There is and old poem I wish I could cut and past called "First they came for." The gist was the Black booted powerful came for the ones less fortunate, different orientations, different races, different dress, different religions, and then when they could not find anyone else to put in the ovens they turned on each other and there was no one to say no. I think we can say no. I think we can stop this madness of radicalization of the people this enemy of all is sweeping into their web. If it takes showing the suffering and cruelty where ever it exists then yea we may have to clean up our act and take away their power. But we can also reduce their power by letting them hide in our skirt tails of sloppy communications (the misuse of the web), not tracking the flow of money, not letting travel be poorly monitored, allowing entire communities to be enslaved and pillaged, and or protected from criminal traffic, handling our responsibilities to feed the poor and treat the sick they will loose many of their weapons and soldiers to help their fight. I am a Native American and I feel like we have to welcome the people who want to come because they want to contribute not because they are escaping a part of the world we, collectively, refuse to make livable. It is really inconceivable to me that we allow the youngest, weakest, AND the best and the brightest and the healthiest to be driven out of THEIR homelands by thugs who are not building anything but destroying every thing in their path. I find it shameful that we say we are fighting ISIS but in reality we are using a few outdated arrows with no feathers to direct the fight. It will not be a war that will EVER be won on the battle field. And it sure will not be won if we turn on our own. Sorry if it sounds a little off topic but I think if the human race wants to feel warm and safe in our bed we have to recognize we too have to address the cancer that is spreading in this world wide threat. |
