There are a few very delete happy people around lately.
It might be the case that they just joined and don't know the system, it might be that they do it because they can.
In any case:
Please, consider what you are deleting, and why.
You don't have to press the button only because it is there.

why does it matter if people de-activate? I don't have any idea what the big deal is about, if people don't want to be reached that is their own business, not yours

maybe if people didnt post the same type of threads all the time that are senseless then they may be around for awhile.

all you have got to do is go back through the history on the posts to see how the same subject keeps popping up.

hmmmm .. I think we don't all have the same reasoning... and if there is absolutely no possible way it would be offensive to anyone, why bother to throw the vote up there to begin with? I would hope we all can repect each others rights ... to vote yea or nae. Just my 2 cents

When a person make a thread it's normally when they are going to be here to respond.
&&& you have these total TROLL threads & people don't even vote on them because they love that drama & dwelling on the negative...
Same with CCP's poems having the box come up & others don't..
why is that??

okay, well I have reported a few people that said some really nasty comments, usually degrading to women, sexual abuse victims and racist comments, i also don't like topics with the word **** in them. I would not report something for no reason.

No, we don't have the same reasoning, that's what differences are for.
But to vote a thread for deletion, an absolutely innocent one as insulting, or a poem for other reasons, I'm sorry, it beats me.

I think deleting a topic because it's been discussed before is rather selfish and short-sighted -- we get new people in here all the time, and even though this is the 929th time I'VE seen a subject raised, it is probably going to be somebody else's first time. They might even have something worth saying on that subject.

A little more consideration for new people and a little less self-absorption might be a good step towards some tolerance.

I refuse to participate in the deletion process because a.) it's not my job, and b.) I have no wish to be a censor.
