Isn't dating suppose to be about getting to know if someone is enough of a friend to be a friend and later selected as a mate?

And sorry in my rules Sex is not a bad thing in the right time. place, and stage of a relationship.

Seems like over generalization.

Especially since I value my friends but rarely do I have sex with them if I have not selected them for a mate.

And I would find a world that was exclusively friends as a clearly limited world. Where would love, passion, and commitment fit in? I would never consider having a child with only a friend.

Only if you don't have any friends.

If you already have friends, then I don't think finding new and different friends is more important than dating or having sex.

If you have friends, but feel so lonely you have to find new friends then you want to focus on finding better friends, and that may take precedence over dating or having sex.

Especially since I value my friends but rarely do I have sex with them if I have not selected them for a mate.

Pay very close to what is said here and how.

"Rarely do I have sex with them..."
Which means it happens.
"Friends" just doesn't have boundaries like healthy relationships.
They're easily mutable based on mood and immediate desire.
If you find a "friend" and they have other "friends" there is absolutely nothing keeping them from seeing their other "friends" as something "more" and having sex with them...on "rare" occasions.

"Selected them for a mate."
A common thing that happens is women build up harems of ideal men to take them "off the market" so she can have her pick to fulfill what she wants when she wants it, and if the guy doesn't play along, if he doesn't cater to her whims, then he's the a-hole that isn't being a good "friend," who isn't "adult" enough to handle a "just friends" relationship with a woman.
And the entire time they rationalize "oh, we're just friends! I'd never sleep with them!" ...Except "rarely."

Don't look for friends if your ultimate desire is to date or have sex unless you want to place all control over your fulfillment on someone's "rare" and "selected" whims.

Lots of guys want to do that though. Makes it easier to wait around to be told what to do or what's okay to do. It's an extension of looking for mommy.

finding friends is more important than dating or having sex ?

Ashi" i have a couple of questions...no offence though!!!

1. what has finding friends got to do with dating or having sex?

2. friendship is the base of all relationships!

3. dating is a word, which according to me is an excuse to know someone depending on the object you have in mind...be it friendship, sex or some other intention you have hidden to describe...
4. Sex is a need or some and for some people its a want...

Humanbeings feel the need for sex, hunger, fear, shelter, .....probably more....

just a perception....I can be completely wrong!!!pitchfork  drinks
