Were you and her still communicating well, when she decided to have an affair? Some people seek out others, if they feel a need for more attention or more affection.

Cheating is complicated and secret until the D day!!!even for Bocelli and Jose Feliciano!!
You can be totally blind and deaf...night and day with open black eyes and big ears |

That's not necessarily a double standard, it could easily be transferring blame. Some people find ways to blame someone or something else for any problem. Some people had crappy parents that made everything "fair" so they attempt to be the arbiters of justice and find ways to spread the blame around. Some people don't listen very well and they're presented with a long freeform list of ideas or thoughts as they try to sort out their feelings or thoughts in a tense situation, but the other person hears one thing like "...or maybe I was mad you didn't see the signs so I..." and then focuses on that. It just doesn't seem like a double standard. An excuse, maybe, but not really a double standard. |
