family moved to fl--so I packed up and came down too---I visited in August after 3 years starting to look like brooklyn

oh yeah, Staten island has changed a lot. There is a lot of commerce here now, brooklyn people have moved down here. Staten Island became hot once Nascar was making its way here but I guess the way things got Nascar isn't coming here anymore.

I heard about that---could you imagine how bad traffic would have been if Nascar would have gone there--plus there's not enough hotels

Former Staten Island guy here!
Mom is still there. I still go down to visit. It was a great place back in the seventies and early eighties, But it started to change and I was glad to get out. But hey, Nice to meet some alumni of "THE ROCK". |

Just moved here from Washington State. I'm in the Coast Guard and 33 years old with no friends out here yet. But I'm hopeful.
