I want your opinion, im 20 and i listen to michael jackson, country, and all those corny songs. ive been called pathetic so many times today its not even funny. tell me what u think.....

I think the ones who are corny, as you put it, are the ones who close their minds to music regardless as to what kind it is.Listen to what you enjoy and can relate to don't worry about what they think. That's what I think

so , I listen to classical and opera music, among other things, no one that I hang out with listens to it. I continue on though. Who cares what they think, JUST BE YOU it's all we really have in life

Don't live your life worrying about what others think.. You are you and be proud of who you are. They are the pathetic ones because they are closed minded and can't respect that others can make their own choices and have their own opinions..

i'm a country girl thru and thru..if someone called me pathetic i'd be like...at least i can understand the words i'm listening to...and the other thing about country is that it always tells a story...good or bad...and someone out there can ALWAYS relate to something in one song or another...
just ignore the morons who don't have a clue...((hugs)) you are who u are, and that includes the music u like... |

Yes , very sad, but music is a combination of thought and feeling, If they can't feel what you do from the music they listen to them tell them to keep their thoughts to themselves.

lol, thats what ive been telling them obscure, and it makes them rather mad. i just want to be able to listen to whatever i want without someone telling me to turn it off

If that's what you consider "pathetic", then be proud of it. I don't think that's what makes you pathetic. Accept yourself for who you are by your standards. True friends will respect that.
