Crazy Love
by Poco Tonight I'm gonna break away Just you wait and see I've never been imprisoned by A faded memory Just when I think I'm over her This broken heart will mend I hear her name and I have to cry The tears come down again CHORUS: It happens all the time This crazy love of mine Wrapped around my heart Refusing to unwind Ooh-ooh, crazy love, ah... Count the stars in the southern sky That fall without a sound And then pretend that you can't hear These teardrops coming down CHORUS Tonight I'm gonna break away Just you wait and see I've never been imprisoned by A faded memory CHORUS Tonight I'm gonna break away... |

The First Cut Is The Deepest
by Cat Stevens I would have given you all of my heart but there's someone who's torn it apart and she's taking almost all that I've got but if you want, I'll try to love again baby I'll try to love again but I know The first cut is the deepest, baby I know The first cut is the deepest 'cause when it comes to being lucky she's cursed when it comes to lovin' me she's worst but when it comes to being loved she's first that's how I know The first cut is the deepest, baby I know The first cut is the deepest I still want you by my side just to help me dry the tears that I've cried cause I'm sure gonna give you a try and if you want, I'll try to love again but baby, I'll try to love again, but I know The first cut is the deepest, baby I know The first cut is the deepest 'Cause when it comes to being lucky she's cursed when it comes to lovin' me she's worst but when it comes to being loved she's first that's how I know The first cut is the deepest, baby I know The first cut is the deepest |

Father And Son Father It's not time to make a change, Just relax, take it easy. You're still young, that's your fault, There's so much you have to know. Find a girl, settle down, If you want you can marry. Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy. I was once like you are now, and I know that it's not easy, To be calm when you've found something going on. But take your time, think a lot, Why, think of everything you've got. For you will still be here tomorrow, but your dreams may not. Son How can I try to explain, when I do he turns away again. It's always been the same, same old story. From the moment I could talk I was ordered to listen. Now there's a way and I know that I have to go away. I know I have to go. Father It's not time to make a change, Just sit down, take it slowly. You're still young, that's your fault, There's so much you have to go through. Find a girl, settle down, if you want you can marry. Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy. Son All the times that I cried, keeping all the things I knew inside, It's hard, but it's harder to ignore it. If they were right, I'd agree, but it's them you know not me. Now there's a way and I know that I have to go away. I know I have to go. |

Cat Stevens
Morning Has Broken Morning has broken, like the first morning Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird Praise for the singing, praise for the morning Praise for the springing fresh from the world Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven Like the first dewfall, on the first grass Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden Sprung in completeness where his feet pass Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning Born of the one light, eden saw play Praise with elation, praise every morning God's recreation of the new day |

The Wind I listen to the wind To the wind of my soul Where I'll end up well I think, Only God really knows I've sat upon the setting sun But never, never never never I never wanted water once No, never, never, never I listen to my words but They fall far below I let my music take me where My heart wants to go I swam upon the devil's lake But never, never never never I'll never make the same mistake No, never, never, never |

This song is probably my all-time
very favorite Cat Stevens song, but he has done so many wonderful ones, it is hard to pick just one...so, i'm including my other favorites... This song is dedicated to all of you my very special online friends i wish we could meet in person and share love and hugs fun , laughter & good times by Mr. Cat Stevens Oh Very Young Oh very young What will you leave us this time? You're only dancing on this earth for a short while And though your dreams may toss and turn you now They will vanish away like your Daddy's best jeans Denim Blue fading up to the sky And though you want him to last forever You know he never will (You know he never will ) And the patches make the goodbye harder still... Oh very young What will you leave us this time There'll never be a better chance to change your mind And if you want this world to see a better day Will you carry the words of love with you Will you ride the great white bird into heaven And though you want to last forever You know you never will (You know you never will ) And the goodbye makes the journey harder still Oh very young What will you leave us this time Youre only dancing on this earth for a short while Oh very young What will you leave us this time |

Wild World Now that I've lost everything to you You say you wanna start something new And it's breakin' my heart you're leavin' Baby, I'm grievin' But if you wanna leave, take good care I hope you have a lot of nice things to wear But then a lot of nice things turn bad out there [Chorus:] Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild world It's hard to get by just upon a smile Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild world I'll always remember you like a child, girl You know I've seen a lot of what the world can do And it's breakin' my heart in two Because I never wanna see you a sad girl Don't be a bad girl But if you wanna leave, take good care I hope you make a lot of nice friends out there But just remember there's a lot of bad and beware [Chorus] Baby, I love you But if you wanna leave, take good care I hope you make a lot of nice friends out there But just remember there's a lot of bad and beware |

Country Girl:
(Band):Crosby, Stills, Nash (and Young) Winding paths through tables and glass First fall was new Now watch the Summer pass So close to you Too late to keep the change Too late to pay No time to stay the same Too young to leave No pass out sign on the door set me thinking Are waitresses paying the price of their winking While stars sit at bars and decide what they're drinking They stop by to die because it's faster than sinking Too late to keep the change Too late to pay No time to stay the same Too late to keep the change Too late to pay No time to stay the same Too young to leave Find out that now was the answer to answers That you gave later She did the things that we both did before now But who forgave her? If I could stand to see her crying I would tell her not to care When she learns of all your lying Will she join you there? Country girl I think you're pretty Got to make you understand Have no lovers in the city Let me be your country man Got to make you understand Got to make you understand Country girl ... |

Guinnevere
Crosby, Stills, Nash (and Young) (4:43) by David Crosby, Guinnevere had green eyes Like yours, mi'lady like yours When she'd walk down Through the garden In the morning after it rained Peacocks wandered aimlessly Underneath an orange tree Why can't she see me? Guinnevere Drew pentagrams Like yours, mi'lady like yours Late at night When she thought that no one was watching at all (ON THE WALL) She shall be free As she turns her gaze Down the slope to the harbor where I lay Anchored for a day Guinnevere Had golden hair Like yours, mi'lady like yours Streaming out when we'd ride Through the warm wind down by the bay Yesterday Seagulls circle endlessly I sing in silent harmony We shall be free |

Lady of the Island
Crosby, Stills, Nash (and Young) Review The Song (0) (2:36) by Graham Nash, Holding you close, undisturbed before a fire, The pressure in my chest when you breathe in my ear; We both knew this would happen when you first appeared, My lady of the island. The browness of your body in the fireglow Except the places where the sun refused to go. Our bodies were a perfect fit, in afterglow we lay, My lady of the island. Letting myself wander through the world inside your eyes You know I'd like to stay here until every tear runs dry. Da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da Da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da My lady of the island. Wrapped around each other in the peeping sun, Beams of sunshine light the stage, the red light's on. I never want to finish what I've just begun with you, My lady of the island. Da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da. |

I do not know the reason just at this moment but this is striking something deep within me
Sounds Of Silence Simon & Garfunkel Hello darkness, my old friend I've come to talk with you again Because a vision softly creeping Left its seeds while I was sleeping And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains Within the sound of silence In restless dreams I walked alone Narrow streets of cobblestone 'Neath the halo of a street lamp I turned my collar to the cold and damp When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light That split the night And touched the sound of silence And in the naked light I saw Ten thousand people, maybe more People talking without speaking People hearing without listening People writing songs that voices never share And no one dared Disturb the sound of silence "Fools", said I, "You do not know Silence like a cancer grows Hear my words that I might teach you Take my arms that I might reach you" But my words, like silent raindrops fell And echoed In the wells of silence And the people bowed and prayed To the neon god they made And the sign flashed out its warning In the words that it was forming And the sign said, "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls And tenement halls" And whispered in the sounds of silence |

As you probably know,
I got to go to Woodstock when I was almost 16 back in August of 1969, way up on Max Yasgur's Farm nestled in the country of upper state New York, not far from our very Own Lil Poet Gurl~!*!~Jenni~!*!~ Woodstock by Joni Mitchell also done by Crosby, Stills & Nash Well, I came upon a child of God He was walking along the road And I asked him, Tell where are you going? This he told me Said, I'm going down to Yasgur's Farm, Gonna join in a rock and roll band. Got to get back to the land and set my soul free. We are stardust, we are golden, We are billion year old carbon, And we got to get ourselves back to the garden. Well, then can I walk beside you? I have come to lose the smog, And I feel myself a cog in somethin' turning. And maybe it's the time of year, Yes and maybe it's the time of man. And I don't know who I am, But life is for learning. We are stardust, we are golden, We are billion year old carbon, And we got to get ourselves back to the garden. We are stardust, we are golden, We are billion year old carbon, And we got to get ourselves back to the garden. By the time we got to Woodstock, We were half a million strong And everywhere was a song and a celebration. And I dreamed I saw the bomber death planes Riding shotgun in the sky, Turning into butterflies Above our nation. We are stardust, we are golden, We are caught in the devils bargain, And we got to get ourselves back to the garden. |
