You always stay on the move you are always looking for a food source..... you avoid confrontation unless.. the odds are in your favor.. you wait out the danger.. let nature run its course..
She will weed out the weak for you.. and then and only then... you go out looking for other tribes that have survived... and then start forming communities..build back up society ..yup..

personally, i don't think you can build a society while the zombies are around, unless everyone is wearing bite proof clothing...(which i would have been making/wearing from day one)

Well I understand that right off the bat Rick did not like the leader of the hilltop fort.. so he did the right thing by removing himself from the negotiations... given his choices..hmmm... well right off the bat you could tell what an egotistical self-indulgent... douchebag the hilltop leader was.. sending Mag in was a poor choice.. I would have sent Daryl in.. he is hot headed !but he has a good ability to get a accurate read on people.. in other words he can sniff out b******* pretty quickly.. I would have sent him in there with the instructions... if their leader does not want to play ball slit his throat.. because Jesus .. obviously calls the shots.. And he seems more level headed and reasonable... he would sooner try to outsmart you then shoot you.. he is a very slippery character.. but as long as you let him think he is achieving his goals.. he is controllable and easy to work with..yup

It also puts her in a dangerous situation. Personally I don't think she shouldn't have been there.

Gregory being a weak leader with no guns is not good. the people need protection and spears are useless against guns.

Well. Getting the cow back to camp is easy you cut it up in bite size pieces..lol..

As far as hilltop go's. . You would have a few options.. trade them weapons and training for food... and let the chips fall where they may...ie.. let them fend for themselves..

You align yourself with them give them training and weapons.. and make a stand at Hilltop fort... fortify it.... have a game plan.. send word to the bad guys.. that you are no longer giving them anything... then divide your forces in half .have snipers.. in the upper windows.. of what can only be described as a plantation house...
Ie.. the big house... arm the men on the fort wall... then have 10 heavily armed men.. waiting outside of the fort in the woods... basically a ambush..ie...
.. or like you suggested bring hilltop survivors back to your colony... basically abandoning everything they have built their.. well mostly just their crops .. at that point I don't know if I would burn it to the ground leaving nothing for my enemy...

i agree with this, if a stand has to be made, make it hilltop, not Alexandria, since as far as they know, neagan doesn't know about Alexandria yet, but he knows about the hilltop...

..yes.. if there's going to be a confrontation best to have it at the hilltop Fort. .. no need bringing the fight to your base camp.. but again at this point.. you need to have eyeballs
On your opponent.. send out a small scouting party to see what you are up against.. for all we know we could be severely outnumbered and out gunned. . And have a plan in case you do lose and they make you talk give up your home base.. make sure the people at Alexandria are able to fend off a attack.. or be packed up and ready to get out of Dodge..yup

Yes I think I would be still travelling. Maybe even go by boat. It does make it harder when kids are involved.
