No I wish DeneeLynne was my real name, but no it's Danielle. It's just that Danielle is far too common so all my friends gave me the nickname DeneeLynne to keep me less confused with the rest of the Danielles out there.

I was just wondering if anyone had any insight on whether its better to stick local, or to branch out a bit to a little longer distance? I've always been against long distance thinking that never finding anyone or finding someone and not being able to see them would be an issue... any insight on that?

Welcome to JSH. I don't see how distance has to be such a big factor as it is. Being in the same country helps a lot, lol. At least you can CALL each other and talk without problems. And air tickets are not more than $250 if you buy in advance. So when someone tells me they don't do long distance, and they are in the US, I kinda feel like they are limiting themselves big time.

I've had a couple long distance relationships and they didn't quite work out, but, for some other people it worked out fine. I guess it really just depends on what you want/need out of it. Talking on the phone or online or whatever is great, but, it's just not the same as actually being together more than once in a blue moon.

Yeah that's what I was thinking... the distance isn't really the problem, it's the fact of trying to actually see the person. I am sooo scared of flying, but I am always willing to try it to finally get it out of the fear of it.

I'd love to find someone that wouldn't mind talking on the phone and online. And if meeting came to be sometime down the line, then that's all good with me. I was just curious what others thought of it.
