Can any of you explain why some would say "Please No Yankees" in their profile. I'm a sweet woman from the north and never could understand why some southerners would not want anything to do with us up here.

Everybody in the souths not like that. I don't know one person in SC who does. We might hate the Yankees and other northern sports teams like New England but in my 32 years I've never saw a southerner personally attack a northerner just for being northern

I have seen it plenty of times. I have lived all over the USA and there are ignorant people everywhere, just push then to the side and enjoy meeting the nice, friendly,easy going southerners, there are plenty of them.
