Is this better than windows 8.1,
If it is better, why? If its not, why? Im not sure whether to click that button to install it. im asking now because I know a few members here did it, so because some have had it a while, I would like to hear your opinions. Thank you. |

I like it when it works but seems it crashes a lot. Almost seems like I am the beta tester lol.

win 10 blows 8.1 away, IMO... 8.1 seemed to be hurried and rushed to get it out, while 10 fixes a lot of the "laziness" with the 8.1...

I've been running it now about two weeks. I had 8.1 before this. I ran 8.1 for a little over 3 years. I didn't have but one problem with 8.1. No start menu. But I fixed that real easy with Classic Shell. The only reason I switched to 10 was to see how much different it is from 8.1.
To be honest, after installing Classic Shell, I see very little difference. Both are stable and fast on my machine. If you have W7, W8.1 and 10 will run circles around it. 8.1 and 10 are way faster than 7. But, I noticed another thing. Microsoft gives minimum requirements for W10 to run right. I've noticed that with some of the computers that I have worked on with below a 2.80 GHz processor, doesn't seem to want to run right. I've also noticed that it seem to run better with an Intel processor. This isn't carved in stone. What works for one many not work for the other. And vice versa. You will just have to give it a try on your machine and see what happens. Don't do it unless you have your OS disk. Download Classic Shell with either 8.1 or 10. You will get the W7 type start menu and button. |

After a discussion with my brother,
we came to the conclusion that it works better - more fluently and problem free if your computer is more main stream generic. I guess by this I mean that if you have custom parts or custom hardware then it might be difficult to find drivers that will work with Win10. Where-as if you have something like a main stream HP DELL or any other well known and recognised brand that uses industry standard hardware then Win10 runs as smooth as silk. Once you install the trial, you have 30 days to decide if you like it or not... Once you exceed the 30 day limit you can not roll back to your previous OS. I have it on my desktop and its sooper dooper dapper on there lol. But I'm still using Win Vista on my laptop. Good Luck Debs |

That depends on the computer u have ... I'm using a notebook.. Windows8 32 bit is giving me a hard time..I can't click on some apps on it.. It won't work because of the screen resolution.. Though, some friends using windows10 are feeling better and more comfortable with it.. Go on and give it a try

Right now to the best of my knowledge everyone is getting the 32 bit version of W10. The reason for it, from what I have read, is because Microsoft is having problems with 64 bit drivers. Some of the vendors that write 64 bit driver code is, well, for the lack of a better word, "running behind". So far I haven't seen any new news about when this problem will be fixed.
If you are running 32bit windows on a 64 bit machine, it will work. Your machine will not be able to see all your installed memory. In other words, for example. If your machine has 16 gigs of memory installed. It many not see but 4 to 8 gigs. A 64 bit OS can see more memory than a 32 bit can. |

Thanks everyone,
I will confess I still haven't done it, im a bit nervous to, because I have had a few problems with this new laptop. What happens if it goes **** up? |

It won't .. Maybe you should give it to a computer engineer.. he would be able to get it done perfectly without it developing a fault later or sooner
