wish i had a magic answer corkie. but there are a few things you can do to help some.

always send more than simple hellos.

prove you read and acknowledged what is in her profile

if they haven't been here in over a month they most likely aren't coming back. so the odds are you won't get an answer

after that basically don't bother if she list a deal breaker that you have. like she says no smokers and you like your cigars.

after that it is just like in the real world here. she has to feel a connection or she won't respond.

and last but not least keep moving forward don't worry about the non answers

I mean this is free advertising of yourself. Take amoment think about how you would describe yourself to someone that can't see or hear all they can do is braille your words to get a picture of who you are and what you are looking for.

Well, I'd say, and this is just a guess, the closer they are in age
to you the better the chance they are not out to scam you.

Now, THAT is a generalization, but if a 66 year-old is getting the
come-on from a 20-something, I'd sure be wondering.

When I was looking, if I saw someone who excluded their own age in
the preferences I would never respond.
