Trump has established firmly that he still pretends that the whole "Birther" insanity was and is valid.

His trick response of saying that it isn't up to him to correct the lies of people who support him, unfortunately indicates to me, that he has no intention of leading a government based on facts and logic, but instead will try to play into the existing assumptions of anyone willing to vote for him, so that he can gain the power to do other things he wants to do.

Granted, this is the most Republican thing about his candidacy (the bulk of the rest of the GOP power structure opposes most of his proposals), but it's not a good one.
the birther insanity isn't insane- my family has lived in Hawaii since 1934- we know the difference between a certificate of live birth which Obama first offered as his birth certificate and a long form birth certificate wich showed he was an African American in 1962- blacks were called negroes - how many different of his birth certificate did he offer up I found at least 3 different versions- He is an American due to his mother- he doesn't meet the residence quals to be president- look up Obama's biological father

His biological Father most likely was Frank Marshall Davis!

1. nowhere does the birth certificate list the childs race, just the father being from AFRICA as african,,,and the mother as caucasian

2. the certification of livebirth is a a short form where as the certificate of live birth is the long form ..OBama released the short form (which is what the state department issues as official) in 2008 and after birthers requested a long form ,his certificate of live birth was released as well

3.the residency requirement of the constitution is 14 years, of which OBama has lived here and then some,,,

you're kinda wrong there... there only 3 requirements:

1. Only native-born U.S. citizens (or those born abroad, but only to parents at least one of whom was a U.S. citizen at the time) may serve president of the United States, though from time to time that requirement is called into question, recently in the case of potential 2016 presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R - Texas), who was born in Canada to Cuban-born father and a U.S-born mother.

2.One must also be at least 35 years of age to be president. John F. Kennedy was the youngest person to be elected president; he was 43 years old when he was inaugurated in 1961. There is no maximum age limit set forth in the Constitution. Ronald Reagan was the oldest president; at the end of his term in 1988, he was nearly 77.

3. Finally, one must live in the United States for at least 14 years to be president, in addition to being a natural-born citizen. The Constitution is vague on this point. For example, it does not make clear whether those 14 years need to be consecutive or what the precise definition of residency is. So far, however, this requirement has not been challenged.

These are the only explicit criteria in the Constitution.

I am quite amused by the 'Trump doesn't correct the Muslim President guy' kerfuffle that has broken out since the debate. It's hilarious for the following reason. If your EVER had any doubts that CNN was completely a biased network, Friday night should have proved it to anyone with any doubt.

In the course of discussing this Trump 'gaffe', night time anchor guy Don Lemon gets invited to comment. He basically berates Trump, and says OMG he can't believe so many Americans are so stupid to think Obama is a muslim, etc.

BUT THEN, taking a page from the Hillary Clinton handbook, he basically says "Well, so what if Obama WAS a Muslim. I wouldn't care. In fact, it might be cool to have a Muslim president!"

WHHHAAAATTTT?

So what IF he was a Muslim???? Well Don, you phuckin' genius, it would mean HE'S BEEN LYING FOR ALMOST SEVEN YEARS WHILE PRESIDENT. We suspect he's lied about a whole bunch of other stuff, but I mean it's not like he's ever told a whopper before...
"If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor."
"I never set a red line in Syria."
"Benghazi was caused by a You Tube video."
"Obamacare won't add a dime to the deficit."

Ya know, he's just a truth telling machine set on auto-pilot that guy....Anyway, so CNN, arguably the place where a large percentage of Americans get their news has at least one (if not several)on air talents who could really care less how blatantly their president lies to them.

Stunning.

For anyone who hasn't yet noticed, CNN isn't just covering his campaign. He chose CNN to announce, he chose CNN to broadcast him for two weeks straight at one stretch when other candidates weren't talking to the point where all the news outlets were covering him and the other candidates complained that they couldn't get airtime. That's one of the reasons the debate was extended to 3 hours. Covering and reporting a candidate is one thing but exclusive primetime broadcast piracy as a political campaign is another. Small fundrraisers with small donations get two or three 30 second PowerPoint presentations on Twitter aired on CNN for those who can't spell Twitter which subsequently gets aired on.... Anyone, guess.... someone..... CNN for how much? Free.

When someone comes up with ACTUAL EVIDENCE that Obama wasn't born an American, I will accept the complaint.

THERE IS STILL ZERO EVIDENCE. Nothing but coy accusations.

I remain convinced that there IS no proof, more than anything else, because it's plain that the Republican Party has the money and the influence and the access required to have long ago found and produced such proof, if ANY proof existed. My confidence in the GOP satisfies me that this is B.S.

I agree, AT THIS POINT, it would be scandal for him to be muslim JUST BEAUSE he has so explicity stated time and time that he is christian

but the point still stands,, someone with some class would correct a false assumption, in this case the two false assumptions

about the presidents religion
and about the negative context being applied within the assumption about muslims

I'm surprised that people still assume things about Muslims. Read the Koran- that will tell people what Muslims believe- I have lived in a Muslim country- as far as Obama the research tells all- Obama is a known lier- (sp), why would anyone vote for a man who has hidden his birth records- school records- college records- had to give up his liscense to practice law- ???

perhaps because none of this is true
and second because none of it except birth record has ANYTHING to do with the presidency,,,
