from my experience it's true....i'm a genuinely nice guy...i'm honest, caring, loyal to the people i love, and when someone needs a friendly ear mine is always open....but up until about 4 months ago i was homeless because some "friends" of mine screwed me over and i lost a lot of money and about everything else i owned at the time and i've had to rebuild my entire life from the ground up. but my question is this....why is it that the truely nice guys in the world always get the short end of the stick and the complete ass holes get the girl you want, the job you want, the house you want, etc......

cuz the assholes from what i'm told have confidence. instead of a girl looking for a sweet, loving, caring guy they'd rather go out with some cocky piece of **** cuz he is cocky, confident and deceiving. unfortunately it seems like most good guys are looked over because they're not badass or they're not completely confident or they're actually trustworthy. it seems like a lot of women like con artists who are abusive or at least those guys somehow get girls

I don't think the assholes get EVERYTHING they want but I do agree that women seem to enjoy those types better for some odd reason. I also find it relatively funny how women always say they want honest yet seem to go after the a-holes anyway.

I'm a "nice guy" but I have a nice house and a great business so atleast I have those things and if women don't like me as much as they like the a-hole guys, well who cares lol. The "finding a woman" issue is just not that big of a deal anymore. I'm not willing to be something I'm not to try and impress a woman to like me.

in a lot of cases, it seems that nice guys do finish last, but believe me, this is coming from someone who seems to be a jerk magnet, they bad guys get really old after a while. i have definitely had my fill of them, so a nice guy would be good for a change.

Cats are a bonus cause cat people rule. Well, unless you're a crazy old cat lady that peeks out of her windows and yells at the kids playing in the street. But other than that, cat people kick ass.

people mistake kindness for weakness and unfortunately when youre kind people take advantage of you and they use you for what they can get because theyre not nice i guess when you treat people nice you would like to think that you will receive it back that is just the naivete of the kind mind the assholes i guess know better than to let anyone get close enough to use them ..thats it im becoming an asshole if you cant beat them join them ..good luck in your new place i hope you meet a better class of people

maybe the fact that i'm kind of a push over has something to do with it....lol....i try and stand up for myself, but i'm just kind of too nice of a guy and i don't like saying no to people cause then i feel like i let them down....but for some reason i'm completely different at work....probably cause at work if i act like that i wouldn't get any respect and i know it...but if some random person walked up to me and asked for a cigarette i would have to say yes, even if it's my last one....

well, dude if you wanna change change for yourself don't change become some girl won't date you. dates aren't worth changing yourself unless of course it's a really bad thing you're changing.

Hehe I have a cat and live alone and consider myself a nice, caring guy as well. I agree 100% with what you're saying about getting the short end of the stick. Most girls don't want the nice guys. But hey, I'd rather know I'm a nice guy and take the chance of not having a large pool of women to choose from than know I'm an idiot who doesn't care about people. :P

I been trying to figure that one out for years. I think it has something to do with women wanting what they cannot have. If he is available, there is no thrill of the "catch" involved and they lose interest. Who knows? I am a nice guy too. And I've not had any luck with women in all of my 44 years. The ones I like take one look at my picture and they never write to me!

oh yea while im at it CATS SUCK..DOGS RULE..male cats go around spraying every where acratching up your furniture and you have to clean their stinky litter box..dogs go around crappin in your neighbors yard and licking his own package ..i want to come back as a dog..LOL

I think women do like the "rough" type of guy because they are confident...more outgoing...out-spoken and so forth. I am not sure why that are attracted to that type...Maybe they like the challenge and the game playing...
Ya know some ( ok ~ a lot) women just love drama and attention..let them have the rough ones...They are physco anyways...lol

well about the women thing...if you read my profile you'll see that i am in a relationship....i'm just on here trying to meet some people in my area for friends and whatnot...

I must not be a REALLY nice guy then cause if someone asked me for my last cigarette, they would get a middle finger lol. BUT, I am nice in the fact that I'm not a player or a dishonest jack off who just tells women what they want to hear so I can go for a happy muff dive in their pants. But oh well, what does a guy do, I mean, do you really want a woman who is a shallow punk anyway? I don't.
