i wanna know how do i keep a relationship going without screwing it up somehow? i either get to clingy or i let them do whatever they want. i really need some help please.

well if you know you do these too things, try to find a happy medium of clingy vs letting them do whatever......see if that works!

Well mary the only thing I have to say is take time out for you and your daughter. The right man will come along eventually. Can I ask what are you particularly doing to these guys. You know some guys like when you dog them out. The guy you are looking for is rare nowadays that's something I know. But one will come along I guarantee it. Just be patient maybe you're not ready for that yet. Especially when you said you be doing things. Believe me don't rush anything. Letting you know about experience. What are you about? What are your boundaries? Who are you? If you can answer those questions you will better know what to do with the different guys you attract. You sound very unsure of yourself and what you want and need for yourself. Just tie him up in the basement or chain him to heavy objects so he can't get away. Then, in time, he will understand that he MUST SUBMIT!!! Or maybe just be yourself and wait till you find someone completely compatible with you. I dunno.
