unfortunately, this is a case of 'allegedly' being a big part of the story,, and giving time to actually receive 'facts' or at least more of the 'truth' that may not be initially reported also is helpful
it appears there is no indication that the employee 'refused' any service to anyone but asked a manager for help who made a 'joke' about the employee taking issue with serving a cop who knows the 'actual' truth here ,, huh? but it could be a case , like others are accused of, of being too 'sensitive' and seeing something that wasnt there.... we will see if the manager verifies the initially reported 'facts' ,,,, as far as the different standard of being treated poorly and being KILLED,,,, they really arent in the same ball park,,,, |

How does the comment supposedly being a joke make it any better? Betcha wouldnt feel quite the same way if the customer was black and was jokingly told "We dont serve *insert n-word here*"....joke or not.

The "black lives matter" movement is like a plague. It has become "cool" and politically correct to hate cops. ![]() Like so many ideologically motivated movements, there is a 'reasonable' branch and a 'whack job' branch of the movement. With 'black lives matter', the whack jobs have stolen the mic. In Oakland, they are even protesting the shooting of armed aggressors! |

Joke or not....I wouldn't have taken the food either. The manager (from my understanding) said it was a joke later on. I don't know if it was a joke (wasn't obvious to the cop it seems) or the manager was trying to cover butts because of what was said. I wouldn't have found it funny either especially with the crap cops are getting lately. The reasons the clerk didn't serve her and why the manager says it was a joke...who really knows? It could have been as the manager says now or it could be the manager is back peddling |

In the situations like this that pop up in the news, if a black is offended by something done by a white, the race difference is highlighted in the story. If the offended person is white and the offender is black, the races are seldom reported.
Political correctness at it's finest. Only black offenses matter. |

except the manager did serve her and the clerk
It isnt about being served its about a comment that a manager made and was fired for.
didnt refuse to serve but was waiting on customers during a busy period,,, Again, as i stated in an earlier post, if the customer wouldve been black and was told that the clerk doesrt serve black people because he doesnt like them, joke or not, you would be singing a much different tune.....and Al and Jesse would be marching their azzes off. Gotta remember, that comment waa made after 4 LEOs have been killed in just a few days, social media is full of cop hating rhetoric, and incidences like this are happening: "" MADISON, Wis. - Published On: Sep 03 2015 11:06:57 AM CDT Updated On: Sep 03 2015 05:42:53 PM CDT Latonya B. James and Nanyamka N. James A Madison police officer was confronted by a crowd and punched after a street fight on Prairie Road Wednesday night, according to a release from Madison police. The officer stopped in the area of Prairie Road and Jacobs Way around 6:20 p.m. after spotting a large number of people in the street. He said that as he approached he saw a woman punch a man in the face, and he could see that the woman had a can of pepper spray. The officer said that as he went to arrest the woman he was surrounded by a crowd that was voicing anti-police sentiments, including "We need to start killing these officers." Police said the woman’s daughter was grabbing the officer while trying to free her mother. The officer said he tried to diffuse the situation by explaining to the crowd that the woman had just punched someone and was armed with pepper spray. Police said his words were ignored, and the struggle with the two people continued. The older woman punched the officer in the face and grabbed him by the throat, according to the release. The officer said he could see many in the crowd were recording the incident on their cellphones while some accused him of misconduct and using excessive force. A witness told police he or she "felt the officer was in trouble" and said it appeared someone had gone for his gun. The two women were arrested when more officers arrived. "He demonstrated fantastic patience and restraint in dealing with these folks," Madison Police Department Capt. Vic Wahl said. "He was able to literally get assaulted in the midst of a large crowd and still take these women into custody without causing any injuries to anyone." Police said Latonya B. James, 40, of Madison, threatened many times to kill the officer while on her way to jail. She was arrested on suspicion of battery to a law enforcement officer, possession of pepper spray, disorderly conduct and resisting. Nanyamka N. James, 20, of Madison was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct, resisting and on a parole hold. Police said a nearby resident who was not involved in the melee told a detective the officer who was battered has, in the past, done a great job reaching out to residents and communicating with the neighborhood. http://m.channel3000.com/news/MPD-officer-confronted-by-crowd-punched-police-say/35082128 And dont think I didnt noticed this lil quip that you posted to try and change thread direction and further push your false narrative... as far as the different standard of being treated
poorly and being KILLED,,,, they really arent in the same ball park,,,, Like Ive mentioned before, youre not that sneaky ![]() |

like ive mentioned before, I say things DIRECTLY in response to what is ALREADY stated in the thread,, tunnelvision aint pretty,,,lol
and I agree, the manager was out of line, whatever race he was(Though it wasn't mentioned,,,,) but the kid being dragged in was over doing it since the kid didn't directly interact with this customer at all,,, |

"" CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (WSVN) -- Two South
Florida police officers have been recognized for their random act of kindness: Both of them gave a free meal they received at Arby's on Friday to a homeless man. Rather than just enjoy the combo meals they got free of charge from the fast food restaurant as part of a one-day promotion, Coral Spring Police Officers Jonathan Greenleaf and Tyler Reik chose to pay it forward, earning them praise from their chief. "I just want to say thank you, guys, very much, for everything you do on a daily basis," said Coral Springs Police Chief Tony Pustizzi as he shook Greenleaf's hand. The good Samaritans in uniform chose Robert, a homeless man in the area whom they know well, because he is always is respectful and nice to them and offers his help. To them, this was a no-brainer. "Arby's offered free meals for any police officer, so we took that upon ourselves, instead of letting us eat, to help the less fortunate and to provide the meal that was given to us to Robert," said Reik. The officers figured Robert would appreciate the gesture. "When we first approached Robert, he actually was kind of caught off guard," said Reik. "I mean, he was very thankful. We obviously gave him a ride down to Arby's in the patrol car and got him out there, and ... whatever he wanted from the menu, we went ahead and ordered for him." Robert's gratitude was visible in a photograph that found its way to Facebook. "He was grateful. Like Officer Reik said, he was a little caught off guard," said Greenleaf. "He was a little embarrassed by the attention. He obviously wasn't looking for attention or anything, just like we weren't, but he was grateful. At the end of the day, I gave him a ride back to where he normally hangs out, and he gave me a thumbs up and said, 'Anything I can do for you guys, just let me know.'" The act of kindness was not just a win for the police department and Robert, but also for Arby's. "I was very proud to discover that the officers at this police department were so genuine and giving this week," said Pustizzi. The fast food company made headlines across the country after a drive-thru employee at their Pembroke Pines location reportedly wouldn't serve an officer. "They had an unfortunate incident involving a couple of their employees, and you don't want to hold that against an entire corporation for one small incident," said Greenleaf."" http://m.wsvn.com/article.html?hash=/108310/a11767a65b1c6e318d5d74eb7546f748/http://www.wsvn.com/story/29968307/2-coral-springs-police-officers-donate-arbys-meals-to-homeless-man |

its always nice to be kind
not that it will make the news, but I have been known to give food that I actually had to pay for to someone that looked in need myself kudos for human decency ![]() |
