What's with all the guys having that nasty facial hair? I don't get it

Its called a choice or preference.. like yours for cleancut men...youre allowed that freedom in the USA but then some people are shallow... so they just dont get it or why their single...ummmm duh!!

So someone is shallow for not liking facial hair even after you said it's a preference?

That's like Asking why Women cake their face with make up or feel the need to get plastic surgery when they don't really need to, or why Women take so long picking out a dress or clothes. Lots of Men don't get that at all. At least Facial Hair is natural and can be styled and groomed and yes too much can be nasty, mine gets annoying after a certain length an then I trim it down.

The same question could be asked why yall get fake boobs.i prefer to not chip my teeth on the boob but maybe some of yall like your guys with missing teeth?

I have had a mustache since I was 19.. its me.

I did have a women once tell me that she would prefer a man without a mustache.. and I told her " then go get one" the mustache stays.

It's the opportunity of a lifetime!

Step 1. Find a guy with facial hair for a one night stand.
Step 2. Apply nair to their entire head while they're sleeping.
Step 3. Tell them they have cancer or some horrendous disease.
Step 3a. Duct tape some lead ingots to their back if they insist on going to the doctor for an x-ray.
Step 4. Tell them it doesn't matter, you'll stick by them/you caught it from them.
Step 5. They will stay with you out of fear!
Step 6. Happily ever after!

Nah, not really a good comparison. Many men are simply too lazy to shave (often) so they let it grow (for a bit).

Women putting on makeup and carefully choosing an outfit is a sign of making an effort to look good. You men may not like it, may not understand it, but doesn't change the fact that it's the opposite of being lazy.

I think it's personal preference, I wouldn't call it nasty.
I like it on some men, on others not so much. I don't like beards and mustaches, but a 5 o'clock, or a 2 or 3 day stubble, yummie!!! Totally, utterly sexy!

Explain to me again, how having facial hair is somehow the same as plastic surgery, picking out clothes(which I'd say I also use a fair amount of time on) or having breast implants.

Personal preference... Some men look absolutely hawt in facial hair others look comical.
I have been waiting for some man to come in and ask why do some women prefer not to shave?

I think arguing over facial hair is more often than not a power trip on one side or the other and in some part self image and autonomy to control ones own body.

I have rarely met a woman who would tolerate having a man dictate to her the length, color, style of her hair on most of her body so I don't get how women can think it is ok to do so to men.

If you have been "culturalized" to see facial hair as one thing or another then you probably are going to have and uphill swim to finding it sexy or attractive.

I frequently ask men what is more desirable to you and your lifestyle; being "desirable" or making your facial hair a statement? If a man has had his fill of women telling him what is personal expression is suppose to be I can tell you the facial hair will win hands down if he remains celibate. If it is regards to employment it may last as long as the paycheck but it better be a good paycheck.

While I agree there are men who do allow their facial hair to be nasty it is ignorance in the first right to assume all facial hair is any nastier than the absence of it. LOL some men spend more time, and money conditioning, trimming, and coloring facial hair than women do on their hair.

Personally I like a man who can and does have nice facial hair. What bugs me is when it starts looking like a "costume". Or it clearly accents there "flaws".
