In your post, bottom right, it says, edit quote or reply.
Click edit and then it will allow you to edit.
No you can not delete. But you can ask the moderators to.

that's strange, because I have the option to edit all my posts within the last hour.

maybe post in the help forum and a moderator will help you?

Members only have a hour to Edit their post. They do not have the option to delete the post.. But within that hour you can go in and take out everything that was in it and leave a empty post.
