so here is an idea - remote movie buddies. go to see the same movie at the same time in different cities and chat on the phone or online before and after.

I usually have to take my kids... which isn't a HUGE deal to me, except, when 1 has to go to the washroom, I have to pick up both of them and ALL the popcorn and soda, etc... parade out and then back in... it makes the other people angry... and I actually got evicted for being "disrupted" about a year ago.

And really... if I'm by myself... what's the point? I'll wait for the DVD.

Yeah... I only have 2 of my own... but I have a son and a daughter... and my son is only 7... and in Chicago, there are weirdos, so I make him use the girls washroom and I refuse to let him out of my sight in a public place (makes him crazy, but I'd rather be safe)... daughter will be 4 soon... she's definitely stuck by me... when there isn't another set of hands... it's difficult, because they are still young.

Try going to an all you can eat buffet... juggling 3 plates and having everybody get up when you need to go for seconds... it's just a mess! laugh laugh laugh

A lot would depend on the genre of movie you enjoy most:

Some favorites:

War of the Worlds (original version)
Lord of the Rings (Return of the King, The Two towers, )
Star Wars (all of them)

Schindler's List
Braveheart
The Patriot

The Green Mile

The Lion in Winter
The King and I (I also enjoyed the modern version with Jodie Foster)
Singin' in the Rain
Shadowlands (Anthony Hopkins)
The Notebook (romance)

Scent of a Woman (Al Pacino)
The Quiet Man (John Wayne)
It's a Wonderful Life
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
