I use to be their 24-365-366. The baby daddy comes around holidays to flaunt his daughter and he had more Sayso in my own household than myself. Should I give up on talking to someone with kids. I want some of my own but until then I need to get myself one with whom brought me this far. I don't want to bring a soul into this world. Only women respond, don't want any men in this discussion.

First no one can come into your hopme and have more of a say unless you allow them.
Man up! Sorry for being harsh Your are doing this guy a favour by being a father figure to his kid. Second don't let that put you from getting to know a solo mum. Thirdly don't rush into having children. Remember they are with for a long time. Make sure you are ready for them and committed in raising them. PS there are alot of guys out there who will have excellent advice from a mans point of view |

Are you saying you are in a relationship with a woman who has children, but her ex/the biological father comes over and makes things uneasy for you?

Since you don't want any men in on this my son asked me to respond:
I took a look at your photos, you look like one happy man with that kid :). Would you give that up because of this issue?.. Going by your smile, I think that would be hard to do. My advise:, The biological Dad has a right to see his daughter and vise a verse. And yes, many over compensate because of inner feelings of not seeing their child enough or they feel that they failed as a father. Maybe looking at it from his perspective will help a bit. I would " take the high road" and let them have their time together and not give it a second thought. Just a " have fun" comment and a big smile. I think that the classy way to handle this. No, she came over to borrow some coffee, ( she's in a big bingo tournament today and she couldn't sleep) I was out of coffee so I ran down to the 7-11. After she left I realized she was snooping around on my computer... must have maximize the Mingle page and responded.. God knows who else she wrote to Lol Such a nosey body ;) If anyone else gets something from my Mom.. just disregard it... o.k. |

Having children does NOT show or prove ,men REAL men. Ask yourself WHY it bothers you? Because women with children are package deal & have men in their past & present... that is a situation that you can NOT stop or control, and don't have a say in. So of it bothers you... date only women without children & use birth control. Good luck. |

I think it would be wise to leave them to it. You don't want the kid seeing you in a bitter angry state. It never just affects the two parents involved. Unfortunately, some parents put fighting before the child they both brought up. I think it's really petty. Someone think about how the child feels for once.
