Topic: Why don't men smile | |

I smirk in my photos. Works like a charm.

Speaking for myself,i feel uncomfortable smiling for a camera. Like it or not, i see many pictures of people smiling at the camera, but it's not a real smile, it's the mouth only, and i would rather see eyes sparkling with that smile Exactly, it's all in the eyes, innit! |

I especially looooooooove the ones taken in a dirty public toilet, with dirty shirt or hat on and a scowl on their face... or the ones where they lay on their couch with tv remote and a pack of smokes next to them just staring at camera and you can see how filthy their house is around them The worst ones I've seen, apart from the angry looking blokes, are men holding a HUGE fish. And I do mean HUGE. Eeewwww .... instant major turnoff. Also makes you wonder why they need to pose with a huge dead fish? Compensation? |

I thought you were going to write they were holding a HUGE peenie.

well it is kinda hard to look so happy it shows in your eyes in a selfie
and I do tend to cut em some slack if it's a picture of them hunting or fishing because at least up north where I am from? this is what most guys tend to do with their buddies or family so when looking for a pic to put on their profile they usually have these sitting around or golfing or holiday pics with the kids |

I have brought up this topic on here before about why men don't smile and I wonder. I did not get any answers. I know I pass on many profile pictures if there is not at least a little smile. It's so uninviting. I hope both men and women think about that the next time they post a picture.

That's another one that will make me bolt for the door, lol. Mine are 22 and 24, no way getting involved with a bloke with young kids. |

Another striking type of photo men often use: them leaning in to another person with their head. They crop the photo, so you can't see the other person anymore. Just a small line of someone else's hair and a piece of skin. Always makes me wonder if is a picture of them with their ex.
Regardless who it is... if he can't be @r$ed to take a decent and recent photo ... |

Smiling isn't allowed when getting mug shots taken. That is not true. |

I've seen a few profile photos here and many of the men do not smile. Instead they either look directly into the camera and just stare. Sometimes they look intimidating. I just think if men were to smile in their profile photos they'd be more approachable. This is just my opinion and it's something I've noticed on other dating sites, but men just don't seem to smile in photos. I was just wondering why. I don't intimidate.....I just wanna look good enough to cook for. |

They aren't smiling because they have not found the love of their life ... yet!
