my advice...not all old sayings are meant to be taken literally.

sure it's a nice thing to say to someone during "rough" times, but suffering doesn't necessarily make "you stronger". ask a double amputee; ask someone with alzheimer's.(sp?)

truthfully, hard work, consciousness, knowledge, resilience, diet & exercise...ect. these are the things that make you stronger.

so one's resolve is a result of the suffering? i say that's more often than not, not the case.

so one's resolve is a result of the suffering? i say that's more often than not, not the case.
your ability to face the circumstances that come along in your life is partially due to the coping skills and perseverance that you have developed along the way in dealing with what has already happened.

Suffering shows you you can endure and persevere, (if you do endure and persevere} which builds character.

That which does not kill you
Can scar you so badly
Your f**ked anyway.

You may also quote me on that.
