At what age do we becone "old" or does that depend on the society you live in?

I have given this a lot of thought in the last few years. I honestly think it is a decision on each person.
We have to decide when we want to grow old.
I am hopefully wiser and a bit more experienced than I was in my 30's or 40's And yet I am happier now than I have been in years and I was before I found my guy.
The happiness came from with in, when I started realizing how wonderful it was to be the age I am , with the freedom of having raised my kids. I have all these options of if I want to take off for a weekend I can do that.
IF I want to take a skydiving class I can.

I honestly think the older I get the more fun I am choosing to have

This is very insightful and also true for me. The wild years are over and I lost some physical attributes but I am more happy and enjoy the small things in life more. In my case aging has been good for the soul.

Hi good to see you out here.. And I think there is more like us than not..
I read somewhere recently that the new age for middle age is 65.. Man I am sure hoping so then that would mean old age starts somewhere around 80 I think I can handle thaat.

I never in a million years thought I would be sitting in my old age looking for someone to be with. Lost my husband to Cancer 4 years ago and this has been the loneliest time of my life. I have my Son and his fiance that live with me, but its not the same as having that special someone to share life with. Anyone else out there feel this way?

sorry for your loss ... not sure how I would react if in your shoes ...
been divorced for a few yrs now ...I would not say I am lonely ...but would like to find a man... that's has the same interested and have a companion ... I am like if it happens it happens but sometimes I like my alone time ... so would not say I am lonely ... I guess if I felt that way I would take myself out more ...

living a lonely life is not the best for either the old or the young.
At our adult stage is better to be completed than feel any sort of loneliness .
