I don't have any quotes. Loved the movies and the hobits. The books are more in depth but interesting.

@catinidaho...J. R. R. Tolkien did write one book...as the book contains most of the aspects covered in The Hobbit triology series.

- i too am a fan.. the book is truly great yet Peter Jackson's version is indeed unique and truly feast of the eyes .. and the personal growth and forms of heroism which are central themes of the stories of JRR Tolkien echoes in this brilliant trilogy.. I have to admit I still miss the song "The Misty Mountains Cold" from time to time hahaha..

I read the books as a kid (yes, apparently I've always been a geek). I think that both the books AND the movies were great, just in different ways. And I think that Peter Jackson did a GREAT job in remaining faithful to a literary world that millions of people have real affection for.
Visiting NZ was on my bucket list even before those movies came out... |
