Amen! Funny thing, In my 45 years of living on this earth and 25 of those 45 I've been in the Lord, I have never met or even ever heard of Any human being who has never masturbated or at one point stopped never to do it again. We crucify our fleshly desires daily, but it's a process! As we grow in the Lord we may stumble like a child trying to walk, but we repent and start walking again. We gain strength as we grow! If we just can't seem to maintain any consistent control and are always falling, we need to be married, period! We operate according to the measure of the gift of God in our lives. We all have a different measure of grace and we all are dealt a measure of faith too. God knows what we r able to do and not to do. DON'T EVER FORGET to trust not only in his grace(power to overcome) but ALSO in his MERCY. JESUS had THE SPIRIT without measure. We have it by measure. SO, I don't care how disiplined we may become, we will have to struggle and fight this flesh till we pass. We better trust in HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, not ours. Amen?

At the same time, the Bible says:
(Romans 6:1-2):
1What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? 2May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?

Romans 6:14:
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Acts 3:19

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

I appreciate the feedback, this whole site is new to me, as is this online discussion stuff. I believe and have lived out to the best of my ability( as given by God) these very scriptures. I have been celibate for most of ,or almost all of my life. Never married and have THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST dwelling within me. I understand patience, endurance and steadfastly resisting the desires of my flesh to the point of insanity! Lol. However, over years of doing this, sometimes successfully and other times in defeat, I learned something about myself and this whole masturbation, lust, single, marriage thing. I speak for me alone and no other. I learned that although Jesus Christ has aloud me to experience a single Christian man's life, without the help of a woman. I just was always meant to be married when it's all said and done. As the scriptures teach us if we cannot contain(and some cannot) God has given us a way out! Praise be his name! Every man has his proper gift of God. I have lived in purity of mind, spirit and flesh as much as given by Gods mercy towards me, through THE SPIRIT ofcourse, but as I look back through the years. I always eventually got to a breaking point, where I realized that I just didn't have that gift, of the power over my will as apostle Paul mentioned. In the latter years of my walk with CHRIST I've groan weary and tired with the whole matter. I just can't contain anymore. Marriage is the way out of temptation for those who can't contain. However, if God does not bless me with a spouse, I am bound to THE WORD OF GOD and THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT. To Abide in his presence, saturated in THE HOLY GHOST, a place where we make no provision for the flesh! Amen!

Romans 13:13-14
Let us behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.

I checked up the meaning of sensual and it is explained as "relating to, devoted to, or producing physical or sexual pleasure".

Apart from the linkage of sensuality with sexual pleasure, is there any interrelationship between lust and the physical act of masturbation? What prompts a person to masturbate? Is masturbation a means of feeling sexually satisfied by a lone process that does not involve a second party?

Masturbation is nothing but lusting after someone(s) if it's one or multiple. God has warned us against lusting and or "desiring someone/something greatly"

God speaks against lusting, because that is putting something of this world above him.

I'm not quoting 100% but I remember reading that if your body burns you should take a wife (husband).
