To smell good with or without perfume is very important at any moment. But to use strong perfumes or more drops than normal; can be offensive and inconvenient;specially when lot of persons are present or near.

thanks for your comments

I whole heartlessly agree! I think perfume or cologne should be subtle enough that you need to be at an intimate distance to smell it.

I also think that perfume makers should make scents such as: Creme Brle, chocolate chip cookies, apple pie, and maybe even a subtle beef stew or chicken & dumplings. Guys find that kind of stuff more of a turn on than flowers.
I'am actually serious about the dessert scents

i agree especially for day times, that's why i use philosophy fragrances there very delicate and there made for layering, i mix inner grace, with amazing grace and pure grace, and all 3 together is still delicate.

but on evenings out i do prefer something stronger. i just bought chanel mademoiselle ( i could have that spelling wrong, the ladies will know). but i don't put lots on, a little is enough and to much perfume gives me a riffy headache. neck, cleavage  , and just both wrists.

This just reminded me of high school when more kids would start wearing cologne or perfume for the first time.
You'd walk by a locker and there would be a veritable cloud of perfume with tangible boundaries haunting the area the entire day.
Although horrific, they were still better than the sulfur stink bombs in little glass vials we used to set off in grade school.

I avoid big shopping malls with anchor stores in which there are perfume and makeup counters. I can't walk through a mall without tearing up and sneezing or wanting to cough.

The only time I ever had a problem was with old men wearing a lot of english leather, brut, or old spice. That scent is like having gasoline thrown in my eyes.

Or old women wearing a scent reminiscent of glade air freshener over-sprayed in the bathroom from guilt, smells like an old folks home.

Other than that I remember reading money can buy happiness.
If it's used to buy experiences and memories. Trips, family things, doing things you find fun.
Then you are more likely to remember the positive things than negative.

Scent is heavily tied to memory.
The more vague or subtle, the more it's going to tease memory rather than be specific (like smelling of a specific food).
The more memory is only teased, the more likely positive memories and associations will surface, at least in strength compared to any negative ones.

I hate it,I'd rather smell a stinkin'Bear than be stuck sitting next to one on a hot day fanning herself with an abundance of perfume on.

It reminds me of Mother and her nail polish remover as a child..yuckgrumble

Its so important to me I once ran a "Seeking add" for a "scentless apprentice" but kept attracting ditzy blondes doused in perfumes.
I reread my add and realized I wrote
" seeking senseless apprentice".
Dyslexia is Aaaa Bltch!

But now I'm with the love of my life and she's is beautiful, natural and smart AAAnD experienced.

Now that is stinkylaugh

I have to agree nothing is worse than someone that has dumped on the perfumes or colognes..unless it is a person that doesn't bath enough and has the stink of scent and unwashed bodiessick When I was in the hospital and in the elevator I was trying to breath so shallow so I wouldn't hurl all over them.. just gross to me.

I use several different scents depends on my moods. The one thing that all of them have in common is Jasmine.. I feel that if you can smell me more than 3 ft away I have on to much.. I like to leave just a hint..anything more is just gross..

I have a close friend that when she comes over I have to open allthe windows and use fans and air cleaner system I swear sh bathes in the stuff..

Until now;almost all comments don't give too much points to perfumes and eau de toilette(cologne) because of bad experiences with scents.

Personally; I think; a clean body can be enriched with some drops of a good scent and used with clean clothes as well. I think also;scents and perfumes for women are stronger than colognes for men.

respect people; use scents with discretion and class and you will smell good!

Today, I'm wearing my own unique blend.
Transmission/hydraulic fluid, Tiger balm heat linament,
with a hint of Vics vaporub.
And a smidge of cow poop.

Oh Sweetie..care to snuggle on the love seat while I have some kimchi for lunch?

I work in an office building and avoid the elevator, take the stairs, not only to help stay in shape but for this very reason! OMG some folks wear so much cologne they'd knock a buzzard off a gut pile. The worst offenders are some of the men wearing Drakkar Noir. It's like they flea-dip themselves in it, and in the concentration they wear flea-dip would be preferable. I'm not even sure what some of the women wear, it's of such capacity as to be unidentifiable. I guess they put on enough in the morning to last all day? I dunno', but it's frequently horrible.
