So the deal is this: a while ago, I purchased Killing Floor 2 from the Steam service by Valve Software. It worked fine for a month or so, but then suddenly I couldn't start it up any more. I'd click the shortcut or .exe file, and it would flicker with a brief window flash, but then not continue.

There's a thread or two on the Steam forums that proposes many possible solutions to this problem (and it seems pretty prevalent - there are reviews of Killing Floor 2 protesting this glitch), but none of the solutions I have been able to try have actually worked.

So, in desperation, I turn to the knowledgeable minds at Mingle Squared to see if they have heard of the problem, or could even propose a solution I haven't tried yet. I spent thirty (30) whole monies on this game, and it doesn't even look like the developers are aware of the problem, or are trying to address it specifically. (The game has been updated a few times since this problem arose, but none of the fixes have fixed this.)

Okay, so it's not really an update. But as of a patch in late September, the game appears to be working again, so if you've had this same trouble, try reinstalling Killing Floor 2 and seeing if it's working again.
