why is that a lot of women are not proud of their body?

Some are like that because of the media. Some are like that because someone has been bullying them about their weight, or their looks, or some other silly reason. Some women are happy with how they look.

why is that a lot of women are not proud of their body? Proud of ? As in... show it naked? Proud of ? As insecure ? .. then the media & or low self-esteem. But many, many men are also insecure about their bodies, they just don't verbalize it.

I'm not proud of mine either. They don't generally keep well, without proper refrigeration, and so far, no one makes ziplock bags quite large enough. At least, my local Target doesn't stock them in that size.

It is not all about being naked,but even at that,women are object of beauty,but a lot do not believe it untill someone tells them.I always notice some insecurities in women,at the;beaches,pools etc.To me,women are epitome of beauty,but they scarcely believe it.

Because the media (and Madison Ave) pound it into peoples heads as what they think a woman should look like.. rail thin and boney, perfect complexion, perfect eyes, perfect breasts.. perfect everything.. all which by the way fits exactly into whatever they are selling And if you don't have these things there is something " wrong" with you. No there isn't ladies.. there is something wrong with them.. They lost touch with reality and with what men really find attractive.

there is a lot more to a lady then just there body's <shrug> body's are just a vehicle for them to get around same as us now when you get around other humans you find likes and dislikes in there bodys as well this could be many things eye color , skin color, musells, teeth , etc etc etc is why the snip and tuck people are making so much money , hair doctors ,etc etc etc ... even Michel Jackson was trying to change his skin color <shrug> be happy with who you are and the skin you are in but a lot of people are not happy with themselfs : ( i think it falls a lot on media they have a normal body type they make popular i think where you live comes in to play as well
