My Mother gave me the gift of rainy days.

When we were young, on a rainy day, Mother would pull out all the
stops..she would set up a grocery store in the bedroom, we had
to 'buy' groceries with just so much money, then we had to cook
the meal (after planning it) it could take all day, the stereo
was blasting and we 3 girls would dance to the music while we played
at housekeeping.

Another time she hired a miniature pony to give everyone rides in
the garage, the whole neighborhood was there.

Rainy days...thank you mummy.

Rainy days
We used to set up a room like a classroom to play schools.
Make huts with furniture and blankets
Now we take our mattress and bedding into the lounge. Make our beds and watch movies.
I love rainy days but not when its rains for weeks
