I stated several times that the NAACP has transformed in the years that have passed since its inception. Ok - Ok...repeating something that a few of us just aren't getting {can't connect your dots unless you give a point/fact/link} EXPLAIN yourself, PLEEEEASE? You just keep stating the same thing; and the redundancy has now been established...why do you claim/feel/state that the NAACP has "TRANSFORMED"...I'm not seeing it - hearing it - reading it? The local chapter in Johnson County - our largest chapter in the state of KS is headed by a college buddy of mine - he's bi-racial; has an Korean Administrative Asst. and many white folks working in his office {yes, WHITE is a color too}...fill in the blanks for me if you could. You get it. If the organization is color blind - what does her race matter? Why is this news? Why would she have to resign to spare the organization further embarrassment or media frenzy detracting from their mission which is... Tell me, since your old college buddy is the KS head, what issues are they currently working on and how do the proposed resolutions to these issues impact each race individually? Answer that. Fill in the blanks for all of us that aren't "in the know". 1. the organization didnt out her 2. the organization doesnt control the news reaction to her PARENTS decision to 'out' her 3. deception matters to the public, which can cause a public scandal lol... and they weren't supporting her, either... really? For 106 years, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has held a long and proud tradition of receiving support from people of all faiths, races, colors and creeds. NAACP Spokane Washington Branch President Rachel Dolezal is enduring a legal issue with her family, and we respect her privacy in this matter. One’s racial identity is not a qualifying criteria or disqualifying standard for NAACP leadership. The NAACP Alaska-Oregon-Washington State Conference stands behind Ms. Dolezal’s advocacy record. In every corner of this country, the NAACP remains committed to securing political, educational, and economic justice for all people, and we encourage Americans of all stripes to become members and serve as leaders in our organization. http://www.naacp.org/press/entry/naacp-statement-on-rachel-dolezal if that were true, she would still have a job... |

.... the NAACP remains committed to securing political, educational, and economic justice for all people ... Then that organization should change its name. no more than we should no longer be the 'united states of america' even though we are anything but its a historical significance to the original and ongoing concerns of inequality and injustice that uniquely face minorities lift the bottom and everything else rises with it Seems they haven't done a very good job of it. done more than what was happening without them after 106 years blacks are still rioting, looting in the streets. highest murder crime rate, lowest job rate. And the NAACP hasn't changed this? Even with a black POTUS? I would want my money back if I were Moe. so, dont join Im happy with my 35 dollar membership, its barely a drop in the bucket schools arent segregated(legally), blacks can vote, blacks are free to purchase nicer homes(legally, even if still facing financial obstacles), and protests have lead to civil rights laws that have also lifted many black people up,,,,,,,all thanks to NAACP being available and organizing/fighting for justice,,, |

A lot has been done for equality. Not just the NAACP but billions of dollars spent by the government, laws have been passed, agencies created, marches have been marched to help blacks. But why do we still have rioting, looting in the streets. highest murder crime rate, lowest job rate among blacks, more blacks on subsidies than any other ethnicity? Whats up with that? |

If you read above you will see that the NAACP stated that on ABC news when questioned about Ms Dolezal. They also reported the FACT the she made the decision to step down as chapter President on the same broadcast. Msharmony also provided you with the statement the NAACP gave to the press on the subject which confirms the FACT that she was not fired.
2old, its difficult to detect your tone as positive when you accuse someone of being a habitual liar for checking a box and having problems with their 'family'. It is not a lie or deception to question who your real parents are or to disown family members who have done you wrong. It's perfectly legal. |
