What is it with the drama. I'm 51 yrs old and do not understand people my age that act like we are in high school. Why can't two mature adults act like it. Just thinking out loud

Not sure which drama you're referring to, but one possibility is the most obvious: they think it worked for them before, so they keep it up.

I blame social outlets that have given people the opportunity to voice their opinions.....without having to do so face to face. Look at how popular Facebook, Twitter and any other form of social media are. It allows adults the opportunity to act like imbeciles. laugh

I can neither confirm or deny that I know any of these people.
If in fact ' said people ' do or ever did exist .

I think some create drama just to cover up the fact that they are either boring or dumb as a rock.

Ever noticed the people who create drama are the ones that have generic interests listed and if you ask then about anyone of them it is like you are talking to the man in the moon because they can't talk about anyone but others; usually ex's that have dumped them.

When you encounter drama, just use this:

blushing guilty of being dumb as a rock....and boring....and I'm not even sexy....or wealthy....or a snazzy dresser....I basically got nothing....reckon some drama will at least get people to talk to me.

Negative attention is better than no attention at all, right!

Or maybe I'll just break you off a little of this - uh, uh,uh

What is it with the drama.

I don't know.

Hormonal changes in middle age and older people?

A lack of security in anything; jobs, money, relationships, life, causing people to act out in ways that manipulate others in order to feel a sense of control?

All the campaigns about your inner child, not wanting to grow up but be a toys r us kid, 40 is the new 20, just do it, don't care what anyone else thinks, be you, be an individual, express yourself, leading to people feeling no one else should place limits on them and accept everything?

A seemingly pointless existence of consumerism leading to people acting out in order to feel more relevant and powerful?

A lack of general guidance on how people should behave and decline of gender based roles, thereby incentivizing behaving however you want?

Overspecialization in communication requiring more extravagant or flamboyant behavior in order to get anyone that doesn't share the specialization to understand them?

People focusing too much on career and education and failing to develop non professional relationship skills, so they ultimately atrophy or are retarded and remain at the high school level, since that is the last time social or romantic relationships took precedence in their life?

Why can't two mature adults act like it.

Because people are people?

A kid doesn't enter into a cocoon and emerge a mature adult.
Adults and kids exhibit the same behavior?
The only difference is what they've learned works?

Maturity is about taking responsibility for your actions and an understanding of consequences that actually exist and matter to the individual, not the development and maintenance of a social facade for the sake of others?

And if they're taught there aren't really any consequences to behavior, and no need to take responsibility for behavior, they will behave however they want to that is the most emotionally appealing?

Well I disagree. You, dear heart, have a wicked sense of humor and a empathetic heart. If I could just rig your computer to when you are putting yourself down to auto delete I would be dancing at your wedding soon. .

It's still not clear what's meant here by "drama."

In my experience, one person's "drama," can be another persons serious and genuine concerns, which an unscrupulous user is trying to manipulate by calling it "drama." For example, I have directly witnessed people who were caught cheating on a spouse, proclaiming that the fact that said spouse was angered, was just them indulging in "drama."

I have also witnessed a lot of people who were just generally impatient, who proclaim that anyone who fails to adhere to their rapid desire to move to deep intimacy, are also guilty of "drama."

It is, after all, the most common accusation made against people these days, when someone is still trying to get with the person so accused.

Drama for entertainment and self gratification is what I see most often.
