If you are on someone's 'Friends' list, you have the option
of writing them a testimonial and vice versa.

Then there is the choice, do I want others to read those
Testimonials or do I wish to keep them private, hence the
choice of showing them on your profile, or not.

Does it mean you've made it on Mingle if you have one.

Like Sinatra made it NYC

If I can make it there, I can make it anywhere, it's up to you New York, New York

You have to make some friends first.
Then, and only then, can you hope they might write you a
Testimonial.
(Which you can remove if you do not like it.)

LOL Bricky I would write you one but might be like the old toast "Here's to Mud in your eye."

PS. Bricky is a good guy from everything I could account as a relative new Mingler. Actually I am surprised someone hasn't snapped him up already.

It is nothing more than friends posting something special to you. How useful? Sometimes it is nice to see

How can I post a testimonial to another's profile?

To start, you must be on the person's friends list and that person must have testimonials showing in his/her profile. If these conditions are met, click the Add Testimonial button near the bottom of the member's profile. You will then be prompted to type in your testimonial on the subsequent page. Be sure to click the Submit button, after you are done typing.

How does another member add a testimonial to my profile?

First off, you must have testimonials showing in your profile. Testimonials can be enabled or disabled on the edit profile page (click the My Account tab, then the Profile link, followed by the Edit My Profile button). On the bottom right of this page, under "Other Settings" you can can choose to show or hide testimonials:

Next, the person in question must already be on your friend list. Finally, the member has to post a testimonial to your profile.
